Nice, do you have a model no on that?

I fancy an automatic and a Seiko, that may just be the one for me.

Slightly off topic, can you fit display case backs to the Seiko 5?

You'll be lucky. I think it's discontinued.

So it appears. I have searches set on eBay and looking for sites selling used watches.

Any recommendations for second hand dealers, UK for preference?

An SNK393K1 is fairly similar a part from the 24h markers in the dial ring.

I'm afraid not. Mine is was a second hand eBay purchase.

Finally got my grail watch. A birth year, birth month Grand Seiko 3180 First with carved logo from December 1960. A birthday present from my wife and she's a keeper. Nicely patinated and not perfect but plenty of character.

I’m sure your wife will be very pleased to hear she’s a keeper. biggrin
Enjoy the watch. It’s a handsome looking thing.

Very nice. Must admit I would be very tempted to have the dial cleaned though. If it was possible.

Grrrrr.....
Thanks for that, the nearest I can find at the moment is this from Amazon USA.
Seiko Men's SNKN43 Analog Display Automatic Self-Wind Black Watch - SNKN43 for £146.43 including duties and delivery. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00RZCX1CA/ref=cm_sw_r...
My concern is the movement is the 7s26 not the 4r36. Anyone got experience of accuracy of the 7s26?

-20 to +40 seconds per day I think , accuracy is not its strong point however its a solid workhorse of a movement, no hacking or handwinding is its biggest shortfall imo

Recently sold an SRPC13 as I never wore it but it was lovely to look at! I’m tempted to spend the proceeds on a sarb035. Already have a 033 which is nice as a dress watch but always wish I got the 035 when they were half the price they are now.

That's lovely. Is the cyclops original or has it been fitted later. Despite the bad press I do find a cyclops very useful.
