You're going to really love it. First GS?
Indeed. My tastes are on the change. Sports watches are on the way out, to be replaced by interesting movements, dials and case designs. I bought a Reverso last week. Love that.

Cyclops is original on the gen3 monster.
Thank you. I didn't know that. My first gen doesn't have one. Lovely colour on yours.

A GS AD in the US, at $7,600, local taxes (6.5%) waived in lieu of discount.

SARB033. Has to be one of the best value for money watches out there?

I paid £189 for mine new two years ago when there was a 20% off deal on eBay. Wish I’d got the white one at the time too!

Great watch that, one of the few I've moved on and now look back wondering if it was a wise thing to do. I think both dial variants are discontinued now which is only going to have one influence on pre-owned values.

Today I've been wearing my SBGX063, probably the only watch I own that I wouldn't change a single aspect of.

Finally got my grail watch. A birth year, birth month Grand Seiko 3180 First with carved logo from December 1960. A birthday present from my wife and she's a keeper. Nicely patinated and not perfect but plenty of character.

Very nice. Must admit I would be very tempted to have the dial cleaned though. If it was possible.
Almost certainly not possible due to the engraved dial. As it's 59 years old I'm happy to accept it's not perfect. There's plenty of perfect ones out there which would have cost more than 10 times what this one did.

Aye, okay. I hear you.. There is always a danger that the dial could be ruined in the process. It's a personal preference I guess. I didn't mean to down it in any way. It's a lovely thing.
