Anyone got their hands on any of the SRPE range yet?
My brother's birthday start of August, like the look of the SRPE51, he doesn't own an Automatic yet and has just started his own business so want to give him his first foray into mechanical watches so he can return the favour with a Daytona when he's made his million
these are really nice, the blue one is a lovely colour. there's a khaki one too. grey probably does the trick for all occasions??My brother's birthday start of August, like the look of the SRPE51, he doesn't own an Automatic yet and has just started his own business so want to give him his first foray into mechanical watches so he can return the favour with a Daytona when he's made his million
Hope he likes it as much as I do, if not, well it'll live nicely next to my SNZH53 and GS SBGN007
I’ve just inherited this 6105 8110 from my Grandfather (10 years after his death!). It’s just about to go off for a service and it’s been untouched for decades - it’s a 1973 watch.
I’ve got quite a few “vintage” watches and they’re normally tiny, so this watch makes a great change. Pictured next to my Bell and Ross, it’s surprisingly the same size!
I’m not going to get a new crystal, it’s staying original. Having said that, a new waffle strap is incoming.

It'll slip under a shirt collar as well ...
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you're wearing it wrong!GC8 said:
Has there been a Seiko mod thread? I cant find one, but search is far from great. I started out a little curious and before long I was looking at a bronze SKX007 case with a ceramic bezel insert and a hacking and hand windable Seiko movement...
Here you go!drakart said:

Despite the personal history of it, I'd still consider getting the crystal replaced. Having one that badly mauled makes the readability pretty bad so you probably won't wear it much. Could keep the crystal in a draw with the strap?

Mine sadly been hanging on the key holder for nearly a year...
Doesn't get any wrist time as my smart watch is the go to...
Absolute coincidence that the day and time is right!
Maybe a sign Seiko is saying I need to put the smart watch in the blender
Send it me I'll make sure it gets some mileage on it Doesn't get any wrist time as my smart watch is the go to...

Where is the best place to buy a SKX007?
Cheapest or best ? Best imo would be Long Island Watches, quality control is variable on the SKX and these guys ensure there are no q/c issues before sending them out.
