Anyone got their hands on any of the SRPE range yet?

My brother's birthday start of August, like the look of the SRPE51, he doesn't own an Automatic yet and has just started his own business so want to give him his first foray into mechanical watches so he can return the favour with a Daytona when he's made his million hehe

these are really nice, the blue one is a lovely colour. there's a khaki one too. grey probably does the trick for all occasions??
Grey is the clear pick of the bunch for me, seller in Germany is reviewing my Chrono24 order as I type.

Hope he likes it as much as I do, if not, well it'll live nicely next to my SNZH53 and GS SBGN007 hehe

I really like the blue face one, do we think it would look good on a brown leather strap?

I’ve just inherited this 6105 8110 from my Grandfather (10 years after his death!). It’s just about to go off for a service and it’s been untouched for decades - it’s a 1973 watch.

I’ve got quite a few “vintage” watches and they’re normally tiny, so this watch makes a great change. Pictured next to my Bell and Ross, it’s surprisingly the same size!
I’m not going to get a new crystal, it’s staying original. Having said that, a new waffle strap is incoming.

Has there been a Seiko mod thread? I cant find one, but search is far from great. I started out a little curious and before long I was looking at a bronze SKX007 case with a ceramic bezel insert and a hacking and hand windable Seiko movement...

Mine sadly been hanging on the key holder for nearly a year...
Doesn't get any wrist time as my smart watch is the go to...

Absolute coincidence that the day and time is right! eek
Maybe a sign Seiko is saying I need to put the smart watch in the blender shoot

Very cool! My Grandfather's watches that he adored went to my uncle, who promptly sent them straight to the pawn shop. cry

Despite the personal history of it, I'd still consider getting the crystal replaced. Having one that badly mauled makes the readability pretty bad so you probably won't wear it much. Could keep the crystal in a draw with the strap?

Cheapest or best ?

Best imo would be Long Island Watches, quality control is variable on the SKX and these guys ensure there are no q/c issues before sending them out.

I’d say Amazon
A little more expensive than Creation, but not a lot more when you pay the import duties.
Easy returns if any problems too.
