Looks great. They wear a lot better than you would think don't they.
I agree!

Something to do with the proportions of face / bezel / shroud when looking directly down at the watch on your wrist, the relatively low profile and also the tiny tiny lugs

(according to the specs I've seen the lug to lug measurement is actually less than the case diameter which seems to hint at some sort of folding of the very fabric of space-time... clever, these Seiko chaps wobble)

No pic at the moment but was bought Seiko Presage Zen Garden Automatic in June as a birthday present which I wear daily, I'm about to send it back to the retailer as it constantly loses between one and two minutes a day and has done since I got it and it recently lost 5 minutes when I didn't wear it for three days. I mistakenly thought it might need time to bed in as it's a long time since I've had a new watch. Not very happy at all.
I had a similar issue, turned out it had been magnetised. Serviced for free by Seiko and no issues since.

Hopefully a simple fix.
Just downloaded an app from the app store (Lepsi) and checked it and the watch is indeed magnetised! I've ordered a demagnetiser from the "big online store" that should arrive sometime tomorrow and will report back on the results.
Well, demagetiser seems to have worked. It arrived yesterday morning and the watch has kept perfect time for the last 24 hours. Found out it's the magnetic clip on my Snakehive 'phone case that did it, it's a very strong magnet, I inadvertently passed my watch over the 'phone case just after I demagnetised it and managed to magnetise it again so had to carry out the process again but it's been OK since.

Unfortunately, I paid much closer to retail but I can recommend. I’ve had mine nearly two years and it’s been a good watch

The latest pick up today from AMJ watches, I was looking for a low cost tool watch and this ticks all the boxes. It feels good on the wrist and has a lovely quality for the price.

I got the green one when they first came out, it’s a gorgeous watch (improved even more when I added a Strapcode hexad bracelet) but I was disappointed with how small it looked when worn.
How big is your wrist?

I've got a boney 6.5" wrist, my 41.5mm Oris Aquis wears fine with I think all but 1 link removed but it has weird propriety lugs that makes the bracelet drop straight down.

Ah, mine is 8.5, i have a G Shock Steel that is a much better fit for my wrist. I’m still trying to decide what would be better for me regarding Seiko, I’m thinking a Samurai

Here’s mine. I don’t think it wears crazily large but it’s a bit bulky under a shirt cuff. Mine is on a Strapcode too

Maybe it's the angle, but from that picture it looks huge on you.

Really nice looking watch there - what’s the model number and it’s price?

Seiko SBP143.

Early one so no extra lume.

On a rubber Scurfa strap at the moment but will be back on the bracelet now the weather's cooling down!

Still very happy with it, so much so it's killed my urge to buy a BB58 as this does the same job of getting that vintage diver style, will probably go back to saving for a Speedmaster again!
I like that a lot! It really does have that Tudor vibe. Where is the best place to get one if these?

It's the Alpinist, AMJ watches in Newark would be worth a call as they would usually do a discount on Seiko. Mine is pre-owned but they a brand new one on hand a few days ago.
