I'm not sure if Smiths are still trading in terms of automotive stuff but Timefactors purchased the trademark to produce watches bearing the name a while back.

Ive never really been sure about these. I suspect that I would prefer one in silver metal. I have a silver and yellow Date which I am equally unsure about, although it is obviously a far cheaper watch. It has grown on my a little, but I think that a yellow Day Date is just too much.

Exactly the same as mine with tapestry dial! Cant beat the original as part of a collection.

But, of course, the Smiths name on watches has a long and well established history.

Whatever your view on Timefactors, the Everest is a lot of watch for the money! (I speak only as a happy owner, although I sold mine recently to fund something more exotic).
