Thought my next buy would be a Stowa or some description, but I've been looking at this all week and just love the look of it.
Hopefully it'll arrive reasonably soon.
The Stowa will have to wait.
Hope you held off, just had an email today with 15% off all Tridents for the moment. Now’s a good time to pull the trigger if you managed to wait.Thought my next buy would be a Stowa or some description, but I've been looking at this all week and just love the look of it.

I’d go for another if I hadn’t just bought the Montblanc Summit

No, I didn't hold off, it arrived yesterday and I absolutely adore it. I’d go for another if I hadn’t just bought the Montblanc Summit

Can't argue with that My Trident Pro 600 in yellow with the black and grey nato strap is a mainstay for me this summer. Will be interesting to see if the new smartwatch can replace it as my daily...

Maybe a service voucher, spare strap or even store credit.
This is all assuming you are one of the rare people who didn’t buy on some sort of discount already that is!
Lovely watches, hope you enjoy it.

From what I’ve heard, CW have a very good customer services department. I’d chance an email explaining what’s happened with the discount and see where it gets you.

No, didn't buy with any kind of discount, oh well you live and learn. Maybe a service voucher, spare strap or even store credit.

I'll watch out for any discounts on the next one I'll definitely be buying from them.
I think the 15% discount was on C60s not my C65 btw.

Get it done! Its beautiful.
The story of Carl Brashear is also quite something. Lovely that Oris have commemorated it.
It's a lovely watch, but for me, the Brashear tie in is irrelevant. I'm not in the forces, I'm not American and I'm not a diver. I find this with a lot of tribute watches (spacemen, racing drivers, pilots). I can't buy them for fear of being seen as a Mitty or a bore. The story of Carl Brashear is also quite something. I love Oris, and I do like the dive reissues they've released, but I have this irrational proble with tributes.

In this particular case the bronze obviously reflects the diving helmets of the time and this is further emphasised by the styling of the case and bezel.
Many tributes are limited editions so have a theoretical possibility of retaining value better than the vanilla watches they're loosely based on (if retained value is your thing).
For myself I frequently prefer the styling of the limited editions as they're lifted above the ordinary but I get that not everyone is the same. I'd buy it if I were in the market right now

I just view the tribute as a learning opportunity to find out about the history behind the person/event and as a clue as to where the styling cues came from.

I agree with all of this I would just feel like a fraud wearing a watch which pays tribute to somebody who a) is involved in a field about which I have no interest, or b) that I'd never even heard of previously. Having scored an almost half price Seiko Turtle in the Ernest Jones sale last month I had an email from them telling me the sale was about to end and there was a further 10% discount available.
Had a look at what was left and saw this....
RRP £499 but obviously can be had cheaper but it's worked out at £269 which I think is great value. Looking forward to getting it later in the week, never had a Bulova before but really like the look of it.
Sales on until tomorrow I think if anyone else fancies one.
