Seriously considering one of these at a hefty discount.. thoughts?

IWC PILOT’S WATCH CHRONOGRAPH EDITION “LE PETIT PRINCE”
Nice thing.

Depending on the discount, likely to shed value quickly.

If you’re keen on a blue-faced Beobachtungsuhr, why not have a look at Laco?

Equal heritage to IWC (they also produced for the Luftwaffe) and they do Type A and B automatics with blue faces from €340.

Mine kept excellent time (display back Miyota with a custom Laco rotor).

I strongly recommend the brand. Amazing value.

I love the design, and I love the story of Le Petit Prince. I have the Montblanc Le Petit Prince Ballpoint in a similar colour scheme.

Thanks for the info about Laco, I've been browsing, very nice. That Phoenix chronograph with the blue face on Milanese is lovely.

Thanks guys, I'll check out Laco too. I can get the IWC for 3450 GBP which is 1340 off of list so not too shabby.

Is that for a brand new one? where from? that's cheaper than second hand from watchfinder.

I've just bagged a bargain, via my cousin in the US...found this watch on evine for $54.99 but they only deliver to US. My cousin luckily is coming here for a visit in the summer, so I got her to buy one for me...cheapest I could get it over here was about £160.00. Aragon Horizon platinum automatic with MOP dial. 42mm version with Miyota movement and skeleton feature. Can't wait to get a hold of it!

Old photo, but very pleased to have this one back after nearly 9 years in a fellow TZ-UK members possession.

Agree on depending on the discount you can achieve.

I strongly recommend the brand. Amazing value.
I bought my Le Petit Prince last August for £3,000 in Hong Kong which is a healthy discount over UK price (my sister works for IWC). The IWC is one of my favourite watches in my collection and as it's a keeper for me, £3k is not a bad price.

However I would also recommend SINN. They have some brilliant pilots watches in their collection - the 103 and 356 Flieger. I own the 103 sa B E and at 41mm, it's a more comfortable size to wear as a daily.

Arrived today

Number 135 of 200. I am sure some people here will have seen these. It is a homage to a Breitling Superocean Heritage II. I will probably put it on a bracelet at some point.

Just back from a week in NYC for the other halfs birthday and I had some dollars that I'd been given last year for my birthday that I hadn't spent so thought I'd see what I could get for about $300.

Settled on this Tissot ChronoXL as I've wanted something non diver and blue for a while and I think it fits the bill.

Got it on the bracelet but fancied a leather strap so ordered a Geckota which was on the doorstep when we got home earlier.

Over a really happy with it, strap looks good and the face really comes alive in the sun. Quality seems up there too so I'm really happy. Got it from the Tissot shop on 5th AVE who were really great as I tried almost everything on. They had a nice area out the back where they sized it up and gave us a drink etc. Also came in a nice box.

Not the most exclusive or high value piece but I think it's great value for money.

.....excuse the wky in car shot but I waited outside the supermarket rather than inflict almighty jet lag rage on someone so killed a bit of time.

Those larger Tissot chronographs are very nice things indeed! My wife wears a PRC200, again on leather, which she is rather keen on.

Now, I might have done a bad thing, inspired by the Seiko thread:

Half price from the US.

That is bloody nice actually, don't normally do much for me the Pans but that one hits the spot.
