That is bloody nice actually, don't normally do much for me the Pans but that one hits the spot.
Why thank you sir! As i said on the OP i have been looking for one for a few years now. I have to say its always worth looking at the big auction houses,i bought this at Sotherbys in New York,i saw it advertised on Chrono24 but they didnt do it any favours by putting that it came with no box or papers, which infact it has everything, plus it was on a PINK croc strap, which i think put buyers off?? The only only thing to take on board is they charge 25% commision and there is the import duty. Saying that the only other 00172 for sale is £9000 with no box or papers and i still paid less than that. So keep your eyes open everyone there are deals to have out there!!

Gorgeous. I was in Luebeck last week at a Jewellers admiring the Lange's on show. I went in for a sneaky look around and jokingly asked if he would take my Sppedmaster in part exchange for one. He jokingly said back that it wouldn't even cover the deposit frown

The JLC is also a lovely watch but I think I would sacrifice it for the Lange if needs be. Wear it in good health. Again, great piece.

Lovely looking thing and pretty much as good as it gets for a dress watch. Not sure I could lose that JLC for it though!

I missed these first time round, think there were 500 that sold out in a couple of days. Had a notification that there was another batch released today - Snoopy was a childhood favourite of mine and I have always liked the look of the Marlin Automatic.

Seriously considering one of these at a hefty discount.. thoughts?

IWC PILOT’S WATCH CHRONOGRAPH EDITION “LE PETIT PRINCE”
Nice thing.

Depending on the discount, likely to shed value quickly.

If you’re keen on a blue-faced Beobachtungsuhr, why not have a look at Laco?

Equal heritage to IWC (they also produced for the Luftwaffe) and they do Type A and B automatics with blue faces from €340.

Mine kept excellent time (display back Miyota with a custom Laco rotor).

Agree on depending on the discount you can achieve.

I strongly recommend the brand. Amazing value.
I bought my Le Petit Prince last August for £3,000 in Hong Kong which is a healthy discount over UK price (my sister works for IWC). The IWC is one of my favourite watches in my collection and as it's a keeper for me, £3k is not a bad price.

However I would also recommend SINN. They have some brilliant pilots watches in their collection - the 103 and 356 Flieger. I own the 103 sa B E and at 41mm, it's a more comfortable size to wear as a daily.

I sold my Sinn 103. It was incredibly tall, wore small, and was like having an ice hockry puck on your wrist. It was a shame, as they are so photogenic, and I really wanted to love it.

Two watches with power reserves and the PH massive hasn't shot you down about them being gopping and ruined? What's going on?!

I think they're both fabulous, so well played!

The Lange 1 usually gets a decent reception, here's another pic of mine because why not.

Has the numeral 6 taken a bit of a ding at some point, or is it meant to be like that?

Well I hope it's meant to be like that - the last thing you want is a missing tip on your Durex.

Very nice!

Can you share some details about the watch? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to these.

Thanks

Hi, it's a limited edition Fifty Fathoms Ocean Commitment 3. Smaller than the normal FF at 40.3mm with sunburst blue dial. Mine is number 210 out of 250. It came with a Nice Framed Signed Photo and Photo Album with iconic underwater shots.

Thanks for the info!

Stunning watch, I have to say!
