Congratulations lovely watch, bought my datejust back in the early 80's and still wear it now - think it was £1425 which was six weeks salary,
Thanks. A timeless design I think. Wow, 6 weeks salary; I hadn't stopped to think what this cost me in salary terms... I paid £7800 for it, which I didn't think was too bad for one from a dealer. It was originally sold 10/18 and barely looks worn.Yep, kind of my reaction too - it's a Seiko automatic movement and very nicely put together. It looks very good on.
Most obvious concession to cost is a non-sapphire glass (apparently its 'sapphire coated') which with the domed shape might make it a bit of a scratch magnet.
I genuinely had no intention of buying but when I saw the price...
The strap's nicer than I thought it would be too - nicely bolstered and comfortable.

Just something casual...

(I'm joking, sadly. This was a sample piece that WoS had in and they messaged me about. My own is now doubt still many many months away. I was quite tempted by the look of a 5205R-010 though...)
