That's a beautiful watch and a great way to commemorate your brother's life. NDA said:
That's cool.... I've never seen a crown go into a bracelet before. Great idea and looks good.
It also means that the lug to lug is effectively tiny, because the top link is integrated and hinged level with the top of the bezel (to allow it to move out the way for time setting).Been waiting a while for this watch. Totally worth it.
Arrived this morning as a replacement for the Raymond Weil Freelancer I was given as a present (and which will, with the gfter's consent, be up for sale soon).
I am ridiculously pleased with it. Christopher Ward Trident 600m GMT in bronze - so it will patinate over time, which is almost a shame as the naked bronze colour is lovely, like a soft rose gold, which these photos do not do justice to.
Qulity out of the box seems excellent - it feels substantial, the finishing looks great - at least as good as my Omega diver - in fact I would say better. Those ornate hands give it a slightly steampunky look, which works really well with the bronze, but would look a bit wird on a steel diver.
The only (very slight) disappointment is the hour markers - were they surrounded by a thin gold border to match the hands, I think the watch would look even better.
But this has gone straight to being my second favourite watch in my small collection.
