I wonder how accurate the pics are, the orange band is sterile dial, with date which differs to the rest..Barchettaman said:

Congrats
Every now and again I go on to the Stowa website and take a look at those, the bronze flieger, the Prodiver range, the 1938 bronze dialed chrono...
Cheers! Got an email from them saying that it'll probably be here far sooner than the end of August. Which is nice. Every now and again I go on to the Stowa website and take a look at those, the bronze flieger, the Prodiver range, the 1938 bronze dialed chrono...
That 1938 Bronze is such a stunner too, saw this one on Chrono24 the other day and it was a real toss-up between the MO, but I'd been thinking about that one for months.

Yup, I agree. The 1938 Bronze has been on my "want to try" list for years though whenever they (infrequently) pop up in Europe pre-owned it's either bad timing financially or, like the one in that ad, has a brushed/matt case when polished would be my preference.I've been reading about the bronze cased flieger and Marine. Most cases patinate, the process of oxidisation slowly introducing green and brown hues to the case surface, however Stowa's Joerg Schauer has specified a treated bronze that doesn't age beyond the finished look. That's a good move IMO, chunky bronze cased divers look great with some patina however I'm not so sure that would suit Stowa's dressier and slimmer offerings.
