Something a little different , treated myself to another watch box .

A Rainer from Germany (Online seller on ebay finestboxes) came well wrapped and really quick DHL delivery

I've been able to get all my autos in it leaving just one space for this summers purchase smile

Got most of my quartz in my old Wolf Windsor box , handy since the glass top will allow the solars to charge

Liner can I ask what you think of your Aikon? Any shots of it on your wrist?

Cheers.

I love it. Loved it as soon as I saw the launch pics at Basel , bought one as soon as I saw it in the flesh.

It'll be worth shedloads in ten to twenty years. Check the prices of any previous anniversary.

Peple inexplicably love them. Money in the bank.

I really don't like Speedmaster chronographs at all. So there's your proof.

Looks great. Especially the bracelet on these. Is it the larger or the smaller one?

This is a 50/50!
Worn 3 times or so. The start of my father's collection always with me in mind upon his demise! Behave yourself, be good to your mum silently spoken!
Thus a watch with sentiment!
It may well be, at the moment the zenith of my watches, though I have many.
Apparently rare?
It has all of the paperwork and I choked when I saw the invoice. Not a lot of money!

Let's just say if inflation had followed the same route my house would be worth £2m, and it is certainly not!
I may or may not be taking possession in the next few months. It depends if I'm kind to my mother!

ETA: Pre-owned but worn 3 times by my father!

I’ve just taken delivery of a NOS, unworn Linde Werdelin Biformeter 2-timer with silver dial. One of LW‘s earlier but best designs IMHO.

I know it’s a quartz but surely the GS deserves a place in the big boys box!

I don't look down on quartz, I value the Accurist in that box more highly than I do the GS

Nor I. I was thinking more on a cost basis. I do love that GS though - that version hardly ever comes up for sale used any more.

Why is there a straight head screw slot on a six sided bolt in a six sided hole, it can't be rotated anyway? Makes my head want to explode!

New today.

I was looking for a tool / sports watch with a silver face and integrated rubber strap.

So of course I bought a blue dial with a brown leather strap spin

Alpina Alpiner 4 Automatic.

Arrived, a good choice
The strap is battered, so got the only strap that I wasn't using put on, which don't look too bad at all

Purely a design feature. Someone did a photoshop of a Royal Oak without the slots and it definitely looks better with them.

Agree they aren’t needed for any mechanical reason.
