In the process of ordering a Bremont Arrow ltd edition, Royal Marines II . They will only release up to 150 of them. They are strict on the ordering of it. They are to check I'm a former Bootie, and your service number is engraved on case back as part of the deal. They give a decent discount on the regular "Arrow" I imagine this is to stop people trying to buy cheaper and sell on. If you did they reduce the warranty to zero, and will refuse to sell you a watch in the future....fair enough. For me it is a keeper, and one day to be passed onto my son.

Will post a photo when it arrives smile
I love this idea and hats off to you boys for your service. You deserve something special.
^^Seconded ...... Wear it with pride,^^

As an aside ..... I looked on the Bremont web site as you didn't attach a photo,
I was hugely disappointed as there were 32 Military special editions,
RM ll, RN FLEET AIR ARM, RNS, RMC & possibly the USNTPS, Yes
The rest .. opportunism ....
Of course this is only in my eyes and YMMV .. not wishing an argument

I've just scored an Omega MG6407 stopwatch to make a pair and it includes a red plastic holder. Happy.

Thanks. I started collecting stopwatches about ten years ago. That is the one that I already have and the new one will make a pair.

I hope to get a couple of pairs mounted on dashboard plates soon.

A friend of mine used to work for the BBC in the 70's and had a pair of BBC branded stopwatches.... very cool objects, nicely made too. Unfortunately they were lost in a house move.

With time on my hands during the previous lockdown, I completed an inventory of my mechanical and digital stopwatches.

I was surprised by how many I have (Heuer, Omega and Breitling and Heuer Microsplit digital): the box is far too large to misplace.

I have a few that I occasionally get out and stroke, Gollum-like, but the only one that I use regularly is a Trackstar on a stand, as a kitchen timer

That is fab! A real item.
My pal has a Heuer one, albeit a motorsport one, mounted in his 964 on the dash.

There's a good display of stopwatches at the Omega museum, as you'd expect being the official Olympic timer. I've never used one so never been interested, but more than a few fancies on show.

Ive got an Omega Olympic! biggrin

I would be interested to see the Heuer mounted on a 911 dashboard. I have several Heuer sets, along with a new old stock Monet Carlo and Roadmaster.

Very special car.

The stopwatch or the car?
Just kidding.
It looks perfect on the dash.
My pal is fastidious with detail. The car is impossible to criticise barring the choice of livery which divides opinion. Although I love it. As does he!
IIRC, The Baron is circa 380bhp. At full chat it sounds like a fat bishop farting after a good dinner and much port.

The Monte Carlo. I almost bought a 964: my favourite 922 which everyone now loves, but used to hate. When I got there with the deposit it was on a ramp being PDId. Id just missed it: £9,000.

I have probably spent a similar amount since on stopwatches...

Mostly car orientated:

Now I know you are a connoisseur of timing devices!
Is the one my pal has a special item? Because I'm not sure he paid big money for it?

Not really. It is nice to have a new old stock Monte Carlo, but the last ones were built into a plastic case and the matching clock was a quartz. There are still a few available in Japan for about £1,000. Sterling's weakness post Brexit vote has affected this, obviously.
