Not really. It is nice to have a new old stock Monte Carlo, but the last ones were built into a plastic case and the matching clock was a quartz. There are still a few available in Japan for about £1,000. Sterling's weakness post Brexit vote have affected this, obviously.
It is definitely mechanical.

The stopwatch is, it uses a Cal.7714, the same as the earlier metal cased versions. It is the matching clock which used a quartz movement. I am looking for one but they are very rare.

The car is impossible to criticise barring the choice of livery which divides opinion.
It appears to be Slate Grey. My favourite 911 colour.

Very nice.... I have a variant of the Planet Ocean and am a big fan.
I've got a 2007 one as well, which has barely been off my wrist in the 6 - 7 years I've had it.

Really looking forward to seeing the GMT in the flesh.

I've just scored an Omega MG6407 stopwatch to make a pair and it includes a red plastic holder. Happy.

Seeing that stopwatch has made me realise the source of inspiration behind my Roue SSD One!

I'm not sure that it is unique to Omega, but I would regard it as very Omega. I have a Chronostop and a Seamaster with similar 1/5th divisions.

The Seamaster 600 has a second hand but not a chrono, so it is added only to make the dial look smarter (it is a Geneve with applied logo, hour markers and date window) but isnt functional in any way.

I’m thinking of this but no experience with U Boat at all!

It is quartz which I’m not too enthralled about but I love the oil filled face!

Just pre-ordered a Pinion Elapse SA

1) It's a small English Brand.
2) I don't have a pink salmon watch.

Never heard of Pinion before - just had a nosey round their website, some beautiful watches there.

Have you got any others of theirs?

Not so sure of the visible air bubble they leave in the dial/watch,
Think this would make my OCD 'tilt'

No this will be my first, and no other connection. Piers Berry the founder emailed me, when I ordered, to say I hadn't used the promotion code and he would add it on for me. A couple of exchanges with him, so far, have been very positive.

Reminds me of the Sinn Flieger II with the copper face.

Would have been good if it had a date window and you had to line up the bubble to magnify it. Must admit however, when I first saw it I thought "that's a bit of T6 vanman that"!

I always wanted a U Boat but their ‘normal’ sizes are far too big, this is a 38mm so a wearable size.

I don’t like the strap, but they don’t seem to have another one in that size.

thumbup

If the star's align, I may be in the market for a £1~£2k prezzy for myself next year,
Quick shufty at Jura and at sub £1k ... whilst strong for a quartz, being 'uniquely' oil filled it sounds great for this watch,
The strap issue is easily (black leather like the Bronze or dark nato or rubber) sorted
I'm not sure but as it doesn't have a bezel it's going to wear 'larger' that its size so 38 would be a great discrete size
I'm liking the 44 in black with red writing on the rubber strap
I just know that air bubble would drive me crazy ... I couldn't wear a spirit level on my wrist all day .... And that's saying something if I'm critiquing it biggrin
