I was a bit impulsive. Went in to chat about a Nomos. They had one of these. Tried it, loved it, and it has joined the collection.
39mm, so great, but thick. Finishing is really nice and it looks far better in the metal than in photos.
Nice! Surprised they had one in stock. I tried one and really liked it - a lot! Wasn’t even put off by the height because I’m used to Planet Oceans and other 16mm thick watches. 39mm, so great, but thick. Finishing is really nice and it looks far better in the metal than in photos.
I put my name down for one but it would be doing the same job as two other watches in my collection and I’m currently waiting for an Explorer 2. I do love my GMTs though….

So, being spoiled, and despite finding one in stock, I've asked them to hold it in the safe (they have my money!) and see if they can get me one with the bracelet, as it's £200 more.
Hope you get it! I tried to find a fxd today..didn't realise how rare they are. The thickness of the Tudors is interesting..wonder if its engineered in to make Rolex look better, or if it really is so much more expensive to produce a thin sports watch.WhisperingWasp said:
I tried the exact same on and I thought the hybrid rubber/canvas was particularly nice. Really suited it.
Can you not just get a bracelet separately to save waiting on one with a bracelet?
Buying the bracelet separately would probably cost 3-4x as much as the £200 they want to buy it on the bracelet in the first place. Can you not just get a bracelet separately to save waiting on one with a bracelet?
In the vast majority of cases it makes sense to buy on the bracelet, even if you don’t intend to wear it as the resale values are always higher on bracelets.
My wife purchased this Ball for me for our anniversary. It's not the best photo, sorry will get a better one, taken on the beach in Mauritius on our anniversary. I did pick this out after trying a few different brands, it's really well made and is a lovely thing. I've been after something different like a Ball for a while, you don't really see many about.
