I'm pondering whether to send my Omega piece of junk that packed up after just a few years to Omega for a service, or buy another Farer instead. I'm really liking the Mansfield.

That would be my pick of the range right now.

Love that dial colour.
I can't tell you how much I wish you hadn't posted that.
hehe

Farers are bloody lovely watches.
What model is it? I can't find it on their website.

ETA - Actually just found it. The site assumes a degree of knowledge about the range that I didn't possess.

That is very nice! It reminds me of the Laurent Ferrier magnetic green dials, and the case is also reminiscent of their 'square' cases. I'm quite tempted as I like green watches

Gone a bit AMG

Get it bought. Life too short to pontificate over a beautiful watch!

Funny isn't it, how the "sage advice" is to not touch microbrands.

Sage advice would have everyone buy the latest Rolex because it's a slightly different shade of gold.

From who? Microbrands are all over the watch press. Worn and Wound have 3 fairs a year dedicated to microbrands and getting them in front of people.

I’ve been after one of these for over a year since seeing a photo on on the Newmark website. Sadly they were all sold, though I’ve been in touch with the guys at Newmark and have been told there might be a re-issue this year. Then today I spotted this on the auction site – now it’s on it’s way to me, should get it middle of next week.
I love the simplicity and the sub-divided rail track minute scale.

I fancied a Newmark too, the diver, but it sold through as well.

Nice watch.

Just ordered one of these.
Hoping the bracelet is as good quality as I've heard.

Very nice indeed, this is one of the candidates on my short list.

Has any one got one of the green omega seamasters?
At least 1 poster on here does. They post in wristcheck fairly often.
Yup, chuck_ster has one.

I tried to source one for my 40th but the supply was non-existent and had waiting lists.

Not sure if supply has improved recently.
I shall take a look!

Local place I chatted too the other week said that they had fulfilled their waiting list orders
I was lucky enough to get one fairly early on, through the Omega brand website. Join their waiting list on line, they send emails when it's in stock, but they still sell out regularly. First email I got was 3am , was gone at 6am the next morning when I checked lol. Did have an email this week as I was on list for rubber and steel. Definitely getting easier to catch one... although the independent near me still has never received one which is a shame as they've dealt Omega for decades frown

That’s good to hear, let us know how you get on smile
Picked this up today from Loupe in Milton Keynes

Not easy to photograph and get the shade of green!

I’m a happy chap and was very impressed by Loupe. I happened to be walking past and popped in for a browse (I wanted to try on the bi metal zenith I’ve had my eye on)

Glad you got what you wanted (and hopefully the Zenith too!)

I’d like to see the green in the metal, I will pop into Loupe next time I am passing and see if they have another in stock smile

I wasn’t keen on the zenith in the end. Felt that the silver dial was a little washed out compared to the white or black versions

Have this joining the collection either today or tomorrow. Wait time was around 6months which was similar for my Explorer and black Sub.

I’m not sure if it was just coincidence but I dropped the sales person at the main local boutique a note about my outstanding orders and he listed all but this one. When I asked him about his he didn’t respond. The next day I get a call from their other boutique (one which I rarely use) to say it had arrived.

Arriving next week, just a touch of Rose Gold makes a change from silver.

Quite possibly one of the last Mk1s, probably a shrewd buy long term.

I was thinking the same thing!

I’m curious about the shade of the “new” green and IF the “new” one is an anniversary, how long it will be made for!

I’ve been waiting 18 months SO FAR
