First new watch for a while…

Nice aren't they biggrin Had mine for a while now.

Interesting how different photos really change how a watch looks.

The first pic makes me think "meh" (sorry!) and yet the second one makes me think "nice watch!"

Nice. I assume it was a leaving collection for you (and not you collecting for a colleague)?

Well I finally bit the bullet and I've joined the slippery slope of buying a nice watch. A very pleasant experience purchasing it at the breitling boutique in lakeside.

Thank you.Ive been thinking about getting a nice watch for a while, annoying the lady in the Breitling shop by enquiring a few times. Glad I did.

It's a Gekota watch strap. I can't see anything similar on their site at the moment. To be honest if I was buying it again I'd probably just stick 'Sailcloth strap' or 'Canvas strap' into ebay, they are usually of similar quality.

Well it turned up. A great little holiday watch. Simple, easy, lightweight and I really like the design.

Shown against my Breitling Hercules as a size comparison.

Incoming this summer..

Saw this last year on release and always wanted a JLC reverso. Such a elegant piece, phenomenal quality and detail, love it!

A most elegant timepiece. Not my favourite JLC (that would be mine biggrin) but absolutely stunning. The workmanship and detail on them is a league above.

Not been a fan of Breitling as I find their watches a bit too "blingy"..... however that is a lovely watch, I hope you enjoy it, if I was on the market for a classy divers that would be right up there

they certainly have a reputation for 'breitbling' but lots of their range is now a lot more classy and toned down.

I think - but others will know for sure - that it is possible to cut the strap and move the clasp to a new hole. My understanding is that there is a lot of adjustment available on Breitling rubber straps.

The supplying dealer should be able to do that for you.

Apologies if I’ve got it wrong - never owned a Breitling, though I must say it’s a very nice watch..!

You can't cut the super ocean 2 strap.

I've got the same problem with the oem rubber being too long for my weedy wrist...

I solved it by buying a fake shorter one from one of the multitude of available sellers of Ebay or one of the Chinese sites. Can't remebr which I opted for in the end.

I can't tell the difference between the straps, but appreciate it's not a solution for everyone... A few other options... As you can see I was a little undecided!

Picking this up on Tuesday.

Excited is an understatement.

Have wanted one since the 7 days was launched in its original form. Only now getting around to it.
