My first post in the watches forum after seeing my watch as titanium version on page 6, here is mine in stainless steel: same caliber, but not as "in your face" as the titanium version.
After having a radio control eco drive for the last 10 years I thought I'd treat myself to a new one, a chrono this time. I bought it 2 weeks ago, and I love it.I've had all kinds of nice watches in the past: Breitling, Sinn, TAG Heuer, a few russian Poljots etc etc, but after you've got used to the absolute reliability of an ecodrive, nothing else will do..Here it is
That's lovely. I have a Nighthawk as my daily at the minute, bought from a PHer actually. Seriously tough piece and the flight computer is a nice touch After having a radio control eco drive for the last 10 years I thought I'd treat myself to a new one, a chrono this time. Not too sure that Hamilton is one of the more respected names, but I really like wearing this. Bought it mainly for work but have ended up wearing it pretty much all day every day.
Fear not, Hamilton are respected and produce some very appealing watches for sensible money.Forget about what anyone else may say or think, you bought it because you liked it, which is all that matters.

+1. Hamilton happens to be well respected, but all that matters is that you like it.Forget about what anyone else may say or think, you bought it because you liked it, which is all that matters.

When you have as many watches as I do, you get drawn to stuff you would not think of buying if you only had a couple of watches. This was a must have for me.
Here, have another pic
Everything about this watch is weird. The colour is unusual. The case is thicker at the top than the bottom, so the dial and crystal slopes towards you. The placement of the crown. The 70s style applied markers and the chequer pattern on the chapter ring. The contrast between the sunburst and the horizontal brush on the dial. The sub-dial actually has it's own mini sunburst, which I only noticed today. The bracelet also is unusual, but comfortable.
I even like the weird spot in the centre of the crystal + this watch is made by Seiko so I have no worries about quality.
Personally I think that is superb! Retro and very cool. Here, have another pic

Mind you my taste is somewhat random, earlier today I was wearing an original Poljot Gagarin anniversary and now I'm wearing a sodding huge Lum-Tec 500m-2. So what do I know

Particularly of the Gargarin anniversary please (he's had quite a few)
It's definately not for folk not used to big watches. Unless you want to walk in circles anyway.
Thankfully I'm used to wearing things like Citizen Ecozilla's and simalar so not too bad for me at all (although even I can admit it's a big bh of a watch).
Despite the sharp looking angles I'm actually finding it extremely comfortable, not quite Ecozilla comfort, but not far off.
Lume wise there is nothing better apart from actual Trition tubes.
