Should look more like this ('66 too)
Were they all meters 1st in 66? The guys selling it won't confirm it is a service dial, in fact has not answered my email... And it's from a dealer with a bricks and mortar shop! I don't know there is just something about it that sets off my warning bells! I am not a Rolex expert by any stretch, I have only dipped my toes into air king territory. The dial is standard, nothing odd about it. Not that you mentioned military watch, but if it is, easy to tell, the strap pins are part and parcel of the body and not clip in, as far as I know. Called Milsub.

Please explain, what does the white gold refer to?
If you look at my OP photo the hour markers (they prob have a special name, but i dont know it lol) are edged in white gold. The 60's sub you linked to and ED335d's dont have the white gold round them. I dont think they got the WG rim till the late 70's or even early 80's as Hungry Hog says, but i dont think models/ parts were controlled back then in quite the same way as they are now, vintage Omegas can have cases/ dials/ movements made many years apart and be genuine factory built watches.
A genuine Milsub would be £100K+? So that is one of the few things about that watch I am certain of

My pals website, he has a couple of milsub soon there from memory.

Some guy inherited one from his father a couple of years ago in Edinburgh, took it to the Rolex dealer to have the fixed rstrap pins replaced with removable ones. Having no idea what a milsub was worth.
The dealer recognised it as a milsub, went to auction and the punter made a lot of dosh.
Pity I didn't loose my one when I was in the navy.

What do the collective experts think of this 1966 5513 Sub?
The dial is a service dial i think, but does it ring any other warning bells? it is head only for #3995[url]

Service hands, (white and matching the dial)
Service Bezel Insert (going by the font, and very white lume pip)
Bracelet will run around £500+ for a good period correct 9315
I'd say that's pretty pricey for just the head.
Lol, but if that's the current going rate does make me wonder what i'd get for mine.

From my research 5513's are a bit of a minefield . I have a 1965 5513 m first with a matte dial as per ed335d's picture .https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=33818...

There is a picture on the rolex forum as above showing a 1.2 m serial number (c 1964/65 ) with a non-gold lettered m first matte dial.
I imagine at some stage the watches were probably produced with a mixture of old and new dials at the same time as old/new stock changed ?

And that basically sums it up. All correct service RSC parts by the look of them, but not an original watch by any means.Service hands, (white and matching the dial)
Service Bezel Insert (going by the font, and very white lume pip)
A completely original one, on a correct bracelet with some or all the paperwork can be had for £5k. Save the extra.
Why are people mentioning MilSubs?
Thanks for all the input guys, it sort of confirms my feelings, that it's is a legit watch but quite away off being original, tbh I am looking for a watch to use. Obviously not for doing the gardening but it's not going to be a safe queen, but that to me lacks the charm of a 5513...
I would rather have originality over condition, would £5k get a Maxi dial from a dealer?

Maybe - just might get an original condition with no box or papers maxi dial for £5k, but I've not seen one like that for the length of time I've been looking. Full set, maxi dial 5513 in dealers are now around the £7k mark when sensibly priced. I missed out on a nice one late last year. I have seen non-boxed ones in certain London vintage dealers up for considerably more than that
