I have seen non-boxed ones in certain London vintage dealers up for considerably more than that laugh
Does make me laugh sometimes..
All the maxi, pre-comex, lolipop, rail dial, fat font, thin font etc talk is just an excuse to bump the price signifcantly.
Granted when it comes to collecting there is no logic, and sometimes a certain combo is worth more to an individual than other, or like pokemon you need to collect them all.
But realistically given the time frame the 5513 was produced for its not exactly a rarity.

Vintage dealers, definately have optimistic pricing!
I had a search last night, apparently my all tritium, mk3 font, '78 with a mk3 bezel (w/ tritium pip) is considered rare. (yeah, right), but i'll take 7.5k for it if that's the going rate ha ha ha ha
Maybe more since it was serviced by RSC at the start of the year :P

Personally (granted this is from the perspective of having both)
I prefer my (lumivova dial/hands) 1680 over my all original 5513, it has all the nice matte dial looks, silvered date wheel and plexi crystal looks (which has a nice tactile feel that you dont get with saphhire).
But with the added convenience of being able to tell the time at night.

Plus.. its not going to make the inner collector cry when i prang it off things doing man stuff, so it gets used and abused at will smile
Perfect candidate for Tropic 19 crystal swap too!

The 5513 is trending (for want of a better word) just now, so you'll be lucky to get any great deal in the UK. If thats what you want you'll pay for it, but it is a great reference.
