I went to view and try it on last night. One thing led to another and i bought it, lovely watches! smile

I don't think my Sub 14060M will get a look in now - might have to sell it!
How much did you end up paying for it ?
£7150

Compared with Iconic's price of £7950 it's looking like a canny buy.

Ive just bought a Rhodium dial Yachtmaster at list price from a Rolex retailer , a local grey dealer wanted £600 overs on it.

Didn't bother checking other well known resellers.

Its meant to be an increase of 8 percent on Rolex prices.

Watchclub have a couple of the BLNR in at 7.5k i think.

I sold my batman last year unworn for 5k, just didn't like it. Wish I had kept it in a box now because as an investment it would have preformed better than my shares.

Great Buy! Even at over list price, i have one myself which i bought a couple of years ago, about a year ago i was offered 1k over list to sell and delcined.

Over the weekend i was in rolex looking at a Yatch Master... long story short, The sales advisor said, "The batman is one of the most sought after watches and are fetching a large premium & 2 yr wait, Dont sell it to replace it with a YM, because the batman will hold the money better than the YM i was looking at".

So guess that was a good investment! .....Still want the YM Tho..

I didn't realise they had become even more rare. I thought the hype would wear off over time. I'm sure you could find one in an AD in the countryside somewhere. Perhaps I just got lucky when I bought mine.

Why is the BLNR fetching a premium? Is it just the watch to have atm?

How much is retail? There are plenty on C24 for £7k in the UK

edited to add £5950 apparently, though I've seen a 2013 in a shop for £6k

That's what I mean though, who is paying £7-8K when shops have them still under factory warranty for £6k confused

I'd be amazed if there is one available from stock at an official Rolex dealer in the UK.

I put myself on the list in December 2015 and got a call in July this year to say my name was up. I was on in total 11 lists from various Ad's. I have wanted one for a long while and you just don't see many around - plus there was a big demand then and there still is now.

When I went on the lists the lowest number I got was 22. When I got my call I put a large deposit on it to secure it and collected at the weekend I was chuffed to bits when I went in. The temptation to sell it did go through my mind as they were up at £6500+ and I thought that would be the quickest 500 quid I would ever make but I wanted one for sop long and I couldn't bring myself to sell it - glad I didn't now as they are up at 7k privately for ones which are 2/3 years old.

Whilst I don't intend to sell it, it's nice to know that there is that money safe should I ever need it.

Who cares when (as I posted above) I can have a 2013 "mint" one at £6k?

I know there will always be those folk who simply must have something brand new but I can't help thinking there's a large amount of people who walk into a jewellers and have absolutely no idea what something costs apart from the label dangling off the watch.

Or to put it another way, the overs game is simple market rigging to fleece as many southerners with cash as possible smile

Seeing as there North of 7 k , are they going to continue to rise in value?

Or maybe stick for a number of years , then rise?

A new watch with a 5 year warranty will always be worth more than a 3 year old watch with little or no factory warranty.

There as many Northern watch dealers 'fleecing' Northern buyers as there are Southern. wink
