Always been on my radar as a 'daily'. Already have a Breitling Aerospace, similar in some ways. Have tried the Speedy Pro Moonwatch on a few times over the years but every time I think it looks a bit underwhelming on my wrist.

Came close to buying one of these recently but got a Bremont instead. I like that Lorne's watch was designed and engineered by one person, yet doesn't cost phone numbers to buy.

Wanted a Pelagos the moment I clapped eyes on it. Tried the black and blue at a dealers and thought they looked great with decent build quality. Was underwhelmed by the Black Bay in the flesh incidentally, as they look fine in pics.

I’ll fully admit to being impatient whilst my daily is off at the menders, but I’ve been hankering after a bronze watch since I knew about them, the Tudor is the obvious choice, but the lug-to-lug measurements just don’t add up for my pipe-cleaner arms (I haven’t tried one on... yet)

So perhaps this, the Chris Ward equivalent, obviously cheaper and less desirable, but comes in 38mm, which I’ve had from this brand before, and gets the phwoar from me - still an acquired taste to most, I know.

Doubt I’d wear it at all once my other watch comes back, though

This... am about 50, 50 to buy it or not.

Somebody help me decide frown

For me, it’s all about the date; it’s the reason I don’t have one despite it being a very lovely watch. If only they did a date version...

Another vote here for the Milgauss GV.

Never been a particular fan of Rolex as a brand but always loved the look of the Milgauss, so I took the plunge a few weeks ago and I’m absolutely delighted with it.

I've been putting off ordering one of these for quite a while now but have managed to find a new one at a US dealer in the exact spec I want without the 9-12 month wait when ordering directly from the manufacturer in Germany:

On the basis of this thread (and your pictures), I’ve requested a copy of the Dornbluth catalogue and price list - currently quoting 5-6 months delivery.

It doesn't help when the auction house phones up and says 'The car that you and NDA have just bought together - they want to know who to deliver it to'. Bastids.

Hahaahaha!

It was a cunning plan, as cunning as a fox who’s just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University.

Real-world option? I keep looking at this:

I really love the ethos behind it and I'm sure I'll own one at some point.
Promise I'm not being paid by Lorne to say this, but I do love mine.

Currently sporting # 110, owned for about a year now I think. I've got it on a brown strap which I prefer to black or a bracelet.

Like most people I own a number of watches but tend to wear only a few, and this has fallen into that select group (which is no small achievement as I'm a fickle sod). I travel quite a bit with work and for some reason it seems to fit really well into this task; it's smart enough to wear to meetings but also feels robust enough to cope with the indignity of European economy flying hehe

Even my wife 'borrows' it on occasion which again is quite a compliment, there's only one watch of mine that she wears otherwise.

Keep going back and looking at the mint/black Traska Freediver, it'll probably be the first watch of 2019.

That or the rather lovely Longines Heritage Legend Diver:

That Longines is lovely. Keep eyeing one up in a local AD...

I own a Legend Diver. It’s one of my favourite pieces regardless of make or price.

My goodness! Things are slow in the watch marketplace. My basic 90.1 took a full 13 months to arrive. I didn't personalise it with special dates, just the month it was delivered/received. It sits wonderfully on my wrist as I type this and I still love it. It's definitely a keeper. It is a subjective thing but the blue hands and numbers are a 'must have' in my opinion. They mostly look black but when the light catches at a particular angle, a vibrant blue. Fantastic!

No, not that I'm aware.

I just think it's a cracking looking thing that's really on my must have list, that mint dial is just sooo cool

Lovely. Was looking at Patek, GS and Credor yum today... but what's not to like for 400 bucks? Import duty maybe??? Sorely tempted nevertheless.
