I would love a white dial one of these and also prefer the earlier, smaller version, think the date window positioning is better. If only they weren't so damn expensive!
No white dial, only silver tone on the 41mm 15400.If you want white and 39mm, then it’s going to be the long since discontinued 15300, as pictured above.
Given the new 15500 has been revealed at SIHH, you’ll want to see what colours they come before hoping on the bandwagon.

Yes indeed when I said “one of those” I meant simply a 3 handed Royal Oak, and the 15300 is by far my preference and it has to be white is really don’t like contrasting date wheels. If you want white and 39mm, then it’s going to be the long since discontinued 15300, as pictured above.

However, it’s all completely academic as there is now way i’ll spend that much on a watch without winning the lottery.
I was worried the 41mm might feel big as I don’t have big wrists, but I’m very happy with how it wears, it doesn’t feel big on.
In fact I’d say it feels smaller to wear than my Sub or Milgaus
Mine is a 15400 so from what I’m reading here must be silver faced....
To be honest I couldn’t tell you whether it’s silver or white, I just think it’s lovely

Now that looks rather nice. You're doing a good job of convincing me..
This thread caused me to give mine an airing.I really recommend them - they look much better in the flesh than the photos I have seen.

You know there's a cost price upgrade to OO-spec available to all O-spec owners.
Yes - been considering it but quite like the fact it's the original design.I have been trying to order a new spec strap and still haven't worked out what the spec actually is!
Order direct from John to cut out the middleman and keep costs as low as possible - they're damned expensive, but worth every penny. I'll put different colour straps on the website as the variations build up. So far it's black, steel grey, and a satin finish tan which is being made at the moment:
I'll refrain from any more pics so this thread doesn't get remaned to 'Lorne posting pictures of the watch he makes'

You may like to edit the link in your profile as a superfluous dot in the URL breaks the link.
Maybe make it more current with: https://marinechronometer.co.uk/
Love your watch. One day, maybe.

I appreciate that Lorne - I have been in touch with John a couple of times and have said that I would like one exactly to the original spec and he says "great, here are the options" and sends a list of a 100 options. I get the impression he is a very busy man!

Tell him: Field Engineer spec with matt black Teju outer layer, matt navy blue Teju inner layer and black (or white if you prefer) stitching. If you have a wrist more than about 8-inches circumference then tell him that as well as he'll adjust the lengths.
He should make it within 4 weeks rather than his normal 12 week waiting time. Despite the cost, he is very busy as I suspect he's the finest strap maker in the world.
edit: let me know if he sends you more options and I'll order it for you.

I really, really want the G Shock Full Metal. I am not sure why, I don't own or like any other G Shocks, but I really like this one. Can't justify it at £450 though.
Tried it on today. Liked it, but didn't love it. Was a lot lighter than I expected - it was finished nicely, but quite frankly it didn't feel like a £450 watch. Was offered £90 off to, plus 5% cashback on my Amex means I could have got it for £342 (can't be that limited an edition). But wasn't persuaded.Integroo said:
