Got this half price as Rotary no longer carry spares for another watch.

Must admit, it's really grown on me!
Lovely weave.

It's a customised brand new Seiko 5 with a mechanical Seiko 24 jewels movement (which Seiko make in-house in its entirety including the mainspring - they are one of the few watchmakers who make ALL of the parts of their movements), a custom face and a custom bezel made to my specifications by a watchmaker.

And it doesn't say Blancpain on it.

So no, I don't consider it a fake. I consider it to be a watch made for me, based on a simple reliable movement, which happens to look like a FF because I like them!
The trouble is, none of that is obvious to anyone who sees it. They'll just think 'knock off'.
Yes, but, It goes to 55..... It's 5 better. Walk into a room and someone's else is wearing a 50 Fathoms; where can you go from there? The 55 Fathoms.

Lovely old watch and so well proportioned compared with today's trend for upsizing.

I use a vintage Blancpain as more or less my daily watch now and whilst I can see that there are some basic "dive watch" touchstones I wouldn't say they are any more similar than any other dive watch.

Take a look at this be-a-uty... https://shop.hodinkee.com/products/1950s-blancpain...

Not so much a wrist check as a wall check. One of our contractors returned from holiday today and brought me this.

Now this is brilliant. Is this genuine Rolly branded clock or a knock off.

He was on holiday in Thailand so I am not making any assumptions about Rolex's involvement with its manufacture. It is, nonetheless, cool. It has a sweeping second hand working date complication. It's also quite heavy.

How big is it? 30cm across or something like that?

Rolex could be missing a trick here. A wall clock with the look and complications of a Sky Dweller would be excellent and surprisingly practical...

What's practical about a wall clock with a 40 hour power reserve?

First post, but just picked this up as a dress watch. Wasn't too sure but it has really grown on me since I got it.

I also got this at the same time.

Funny but when I got the two of them, I much preferred the Hamilton (bit of Hamilton fan), but wear the Rado much more.

Bit of Lange love this week, got a new strap, meant for a rolex but chuffed with the way it fits on this watch, like the straps that are rounded into the case

That is a beautiful piece. I personally feel the strap spoils it, but it's not exactly permanent and I'm not exactly in the market for a Lange so fair play. smile

I kind of know where you're coming from: a sporty strap on a dressy watch but I like to mix and match straps a bit so can see the appeal of changing the look.

Lovely Lange, Emonda03. I'm a big fan of L&S but just can't justify/afford one!

Damn, I was looking at these today for my wedding along with the VC Patrimony Perpetual before realizing I can't afford either one and will just have to grab a JLC Ultra Moonphase instead! Absolutely mega. Potentially even my favorite watch in the world. Beautiful.

Not keen on the strap and even less on the shirt smile but the watch is gorgeous. I really fancy a moon phase and the date is legible for old buggers like me with failing eyesight. Thanks for posting.
