Lefty here. Tried watches on either hand, left just doesn't feel right (pun intended).

Not sure I understand the comments here about it being odd to wear a watch on the right hand. I'm a lefty and that's what I must do to protect my timepieces. I wear (normal) right sided crown watches on my right wrist. I've considered LH watches like the Pelagos but I'd never adjust a watch on wrist anyway so no point.

Thoughts?
In what way does it "protect" the watch?

Not that it matters how you wear your watches.

makes sense, left dominant: you use your left more. More chance of it hitting something while taking something or the like.

Exactly that - plus possible shock damage from moving dominant arm if working on something.

I'm left handed and I wear my watch on my left hand. This is because, despite being left handed, I'm not mental.

Excessive masturbation over working the rota?

Makes sense I suppose.

Sold my PP Aquanaut a few weeks ago and just acquired this Nautilus 5711. I love it...

I've been lusting after one for a while.... I don't have the spare cash right now.

Don't often see them with a white face.

Waiting list?

They're lovely. Tried one on the other day with the white dial. Looked great. Yes - waiting list on all 5711, but shorter than blue dial.

Mrs T6 has said I need to lose one of my Balls
I think she means one of these but I'll keep an eye on the scissors just to be on the safe side wink

Definitely will use it as a daily which is a shame for the L/H ball as that was bought last year for that task
You have a nice pair of Balls. I should really lose one of mine too. The Fireman 2 I bought as a daily isn't getting worn much so will probably go. The Engineer Hydrocarbon Mad Cow I'll keep.

Thanks. Sony RX100, so nothing as exotic as you may have imagined.

If you're looking for a classic white dial, also hard to ignore the AP 15202. Perfect size at 39mm, ultra-thin movement - wears much better than the chunkier 41mm 15400. And the dial is much cleaner - no seconds hand.

Tried one today - I think it is a better piece than the 5711. Fits and feels just as good as the Nautilus - but I think the design is better resolved and it pre-dates the Nautilus and started it all.

Picked up this lovely copper dialled Sinn Flieger earlier in the summer. The dial is amazing in the sun.

As I'm sure you are aware, both the Royal Oak and the Nautilus were designed by Gerald Genta, being released in 1970 and 1976 respectively. Royal Oak case thickness is 9.8mm, Nautilus is 8.3mm. Both absolutely timeless designs.

TBH I tend to see Genta's designs as extremely dated. They scream 1970s.
