Indeed, traditionally, a pink ribbon would be used for a defence brief while a white one would be used for prosecution brief from the Crown.

I have seen many JLC's shown in this profession.
huh, i was always told white was treasury (not that I ever see any of those!).

at any rate, I've wrapped up more crown briefs than I care to remember and they were all pink. Maybe standards are slipping wink

That is lovely Chronostop and one that I think is overlooked a bit!. Currently thinking about getting a Chronostop Driver.
Definitely overlooked, and thanks. This is the Cal 920 with the date function made in quite small numbers compared to the non date. I bought this for £400 and I suspect you're looking at 8-900 for the driver, but either way prices are pretty good. The watch is quite small so I expect this has kept prices low. That and the fact that the Chronostop is a pretty useless complication!
Here’s mine, it’s a large face one, no date function. I rescued it, the movement and everything completely original and working but the case and glass where in a really bad state. So I replaced that and polished it. Stuck it on a modern Omega nato strap.

The main thing that drew me to it was the telemetre scale which seems to be a rare feature on most watches, also that it’s in miles. Still it’s my favourite watch in my collection. I paid around £800 all in including the strap and stuff.

^ lovely. This uses the Cal 865 movement doesn't it? Is it 40mm?

The size helps the value as compared to mine, for example, but they are all such good buys. Well done on rescuing it.

Ubiquitous? Perhaps, but no one I work with has one. Even if they did they wouldn't sport it with a suit and a £4 Perlon!

Inspired by Vvroom's Tuesday I dug this out. Hardly been worn recently but used to be worn regularly.

Thanks! yes it uses the Cal 865 movement and is 40mm. I made sure in rescuing it that I only replaced the crystal, and polished the case as these where the really bad bits. I thought about not doing that and wearing it as it was, but they were both in a really bad way, very badly pitted all over and the crystal had a massive chunk missing out of it as well as being badly cracked. I left the dial, hands movement etc and everything else untouched. So it still has its lovely patina and essentially original.

As for its value i'm not too fussed to be honest, I like it so much I doubt I would ever get rid of it. I do actually have my third vintage Omega on its way at the moment a Seamaster 120 Deep Blue, I will post pics when it arrives.

I really like these and so rarely see them bring worn. The dial is busy but very well balanced; it just works.

These aren't on my wrist any more as I got bored with the brand so sold these plus a vintage gold Oyster I'd had since the early 80s - wish I'd kept them all now but there ya go...

PS - fortunately I don't have the same approach to cars - I tend to keep them all laugh

The centre seconds version is the nicest of theirs I think.

Very underrated.

What do the pushers do? Date and jumping hour corrections?

It’s a GMT comp. The round window (12) shows home time, the hour hand, local time adjusted with the pushers.

The rather simple party trick with this UN 334 cal is it can flick backward and forwards though the date (square windows) change imperviously without damage risk to mechanism.

I bought one of the last of the line of those, white gold, tan strap and black mop face. I very rarely wear it but I absolutely adore it.

Simple quartz, but present from my wife about 10 years ago. Like it on the burgundy nato since the bracelet got very scratched up.
