This chap turned up on Monday, very happy with it.

That is a very lovely piece indeed. Did you source direct from them in the states and can I ask how much you were collared for on the Duty please? It looks like it might just sneak in under budget for my next acquisition!
Cheers, and that’s a shocking pic. Much nicer in real life!

I got it direct from them in HK. They only did 10 of each variant I believe in the launch sale. They are selling more later in the year.

I haven’t got a bill for the duty yet, but the value of goods they put on the shipping documents should minimise it!

How is it? I am thinking of getting the red dialled one, but need a little 'push over the ledge'.

Fantastic, it's a lovely watch for the money, what's the red dialled one?

I'm not sure about that one, it's a bit too brown for me but that's personal taste. The silver dial one is lovely and it puts much more expensive watches to shame, the quality of these watches is unbeatable for the money.

That looks like just a dial replacement?
Any links for this, I'd love that.

Yes I think it was just a dial replacement, but I liked this particular one. I may look to change the hands at a later date, but for now I'm happy with it.

I bought it off EBay, there are a few on there similar to this or in the different colours. If you eBay search Seiko Fifty Five Fathoms mod a few will show up!

I've got the watch (in blue) and I love the way it looks, but this dail just looks better.
