I'm trying so hard not to look at Pateks. I really want one.
i am clearly a deluded cretin but i don't understand the patek allure at all!
Nor me. I haven't seen one I'd buy. I have enough to buy one, I just don't want to.
Not even this

or this

Now this I like.

At a push. I know, I know, I am a philistine, but I know what I like and I know what I do not.

It's the Nautilus that I would buy - it's a 'one watch that does it all' kind of thing. I doubt I'd ever take it off.

Still looks like the steering wheel off an Austin Allegro though smile

Or like a porthole which is what Genta based this and Royal Oak on.

I know, I know. I do like the Royal Oak - the combination of the really angular lines on the edge of the case and bracelet and the smooth curves on the octagonal bezel. The Pateks just don't appeal to me; but each to his own.

I really, really, really wish I'd kept this, so this is an ex-wrist shot.

7% off of an SS model in the U.K.? That's quite unheard of in recent times.
It's quite unheard of on Pistonheads where certain posters like talk up the prices of things they own but there are many deals out there to be had.

I will have a look. It isn't mine (sadly). I organise watch events at various watch boutiques. Last night it was VC, so I had a while to wear and play with it - but it completely slipped my mid to photograph the rear - which is really lovely. Has the power reserve indicator on the back - which I think is a better place for it than the face.

14 day power reserve!

The rear (not my pic)

Amazing, would love to take a bit of time to admire such a work of art in person.
I arranged for it to be in the London boutique for my event last week. It may still be in store. Pop in and have a look.

Those Nautilus' are growing on me but personally I would love an Annual Calendar:

like those B&Ms a lot. Look more expensive than they are, which is a good thing.

Nautilus was going to be my next purchase but, and I know this is is simple snobbery and truly hateful, there was a big fat Northern bd with tribal tattoos wearing one at breakfast in my hotel this morning and it's put me right off.

100% yes to that calendar watch though! Stunner!!

Nice watch. Although that sleeve over the watch is a nono man. Wills2 is going to have a heart attack when he sees it.
