Did you ever hear the expression "when in a hole, stop digging"? £5k is a year's mortgage for a lot of people, so the notion of finding it relatively easily is laughable. Conversely £20k might be what Roman Abramowitz spends on yacht cleaning every month without knowing it's gone, so nobody round here needs to start willy waving over what they could replace.
I read it as its less likely be rare or hard to find so the insurance will be able to replace it.
Which is precisely what I meant. Thank you. smile
Everyone except comrade battered knew what you meant. Once again we get a proof that one needs to be very dim to be a hardcore socialist and battered is both as can be seen above.

He's so brainwashed he'd tell Usain Bolt not to boast about his running skills because that might upset some poor overweight fellow who is unable to run 10 metres in 30 secs. God forbid this might incentivise the fellow to use Bolt as a role model and loose weight and aim for being the best.

Funny how you weren't offended by the patronising, condescending, rude and uncalled for tone of battered's posts, to which I responded. So please, don't be a snowflake.

Congrats Bazza beer

Le Mans weekend, can't be there this year so watching it with a couple of friends. Spotters guide to the left, TV to the right and a couple of laptops with timing screens out of shot.

And beer. And whisky. And the bbq is going as well biggrin

That is funny, not only did I also acquire a pocketwatch for my wedding day, but that is exactly what I call my wifey on a regular basis! (on the bottom of her shoes). Congratulations on your special day.

Omega speed master reduced ladies mop dial, at 38mm it's quite large for a women's watch, but I think the pink numerals soften it nicely

Not as flash or expensive as some of the watches on here, but it was from my kids for Father's Day so doesn't matter to me what it cost.

Dead right, it's timekeeping is also spot on to about 3 Seconds a day. For a watch that costs under £200 its great value for money.

Certainly is, and that suits me just fine. I'm not sure I'd ever have any use for a Patek.

Very nice. It's a great looking watch!

I tried on a blue dial version a couple of weeks ago:

With the new slimmer design and the more dressy finish I think it's a fantastic watch, and there are lots of nice variations too.
I've decided to treat myself for my birthday in August and I've narrowed it down to the blue/black aquis or blue dial diver 65.
