Vulcain Watches?

Thinking of buying one of these

I love it but at 2K is it a risky purchase?

Apparently they used to make watches for presidents (the cricket). Does anyone out there have a Vulcain?

Page & Cooper are the UK stockists but they are struggling to get one.

Presume they are swiss too and not just put together there for the Americans.

Any info would be good, cheers guys.

I'm aware of the cricket.It's a fairly sought after movement, commands a few hundreds for a decent example.
I was not aware that Vulcain are producing new watches.2 minutes of Googling produced all you need to know.

They are in financial trouble and were/are looking for a buyer. You'd have to really love their watches to sink any cash into one.
