Me too. But the 007 on the second hand is tragic.
Indeed plus IMO the the stripy strap is too garish.

yes

The watch itself is too busy, needs a clean one colour strap. On a discrete watch you could have some stripes/colours on the strap imho.

It's better on the bracelet IMO. (Generic internet photo)

Marginally less awful I suppose.

I normally say if you like it go for it, you shouldn't care what other people think. But even I'd be embarrassed by that tie in.
The watch is not to my taste either.

Takes all sorts I suppose.

Dear god, has anyone watched the launch party video on the Omega site yet? Pure cringe.

I was thinking of getting one of these

http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Omega-Seamaster/p/1733...

However my thoughts that Omega were a bit cooler than Rolex as they were a bit less try hard has just been shattered. Not seen anything that cringewortyh since Land Rover had Bear Grylls absail from a chopper on a replica Tower Bridge to Launch the new Disco 5.

Passing Goldsmiths last week I was struck by just how awful most POS marketing is. It's all racing cars, sports, submarines etc. Except Rolex, which is a big orange fish.

I wonder how much Omega pay for this kind of advertising.

I don't know. But Daniel Craig used to advertise Omega as James Bond, but wear Rolexes when he was not in role. The suspect the Bond franchise was paid for the former, him the latter. I seem to think he also had a tie-up with Audi.

Think the fish marketing has been around for a while with Rolex:

Looks like a Lego watch - truly horrible but will probably be worth a fortune in 10/15 years as practically no one will be buying them new.
