Too much strap going on there for me too.

Isn't it a Zulu anyway, rather than a Nato?
Looks like a seatbelt to me.

I like that 'functional' look. Might suit a date window.

Finally joined the Batman club when my AD gave me a call this weekend. Initial thoughts - the combination of polished centre links and ceramachrom really elevate the modern GMT2 above the other Subs/SeaDwellers in terms of being a dressier watch. The Batman Blue is far better than the purply/blue of the Ceramachrom Pepsi. An ideal smarter sports watch and fits the collection nicely.

Sorry I don't agree, you can't beat plain black for dress purposes.
Nice watch though.

In terms of colour - yes, I agree. I was referring to the PCLs and glossy Ceramachome. The Batman just seems to be a dressier move away from the sporting brushed/matt effect of most monochrome Subs/SDs.

Not a picture of the watch, but the strap, as I'm into straps at the moment. Teju skin and very hard wearing:

This one's from John at dangerous9straps in Munich, Germany. Excellent chap and able to do just about any colour and skin combination.

Not to me please, but direct to john at http://dangerous9straps.blogspot.co.uk/. He's got a case and clasp jig so can make you anything you fancy. It's best to go direct as I'll only have to figure out some ridiculous mark-up if you ask me :- )

Honestly, if you look at his website you'll be hooked and spend hours pondering about the best strap to buy. Rolex, Omega, IWC etc - all done and all look fabulous.

Here's one he did for a customer in supermatt black teju with blue teju lining.

Congratulations. You've created the horological equivalent of a Ferrari towing a caravan. Gopping.

Nope a sub with a nato is winning combo. IMHO mine lives on one more often than not.

It's a great strap for a sub I think. Very practical too - which is what the watch was all about originally.
