Arrived today smile

Finally pulled my finger out and ordered one after seeing HannsG’s solar and how nice a size it looked.

Was struggling to decide which one to go for but went with the BB in the end as I love the stealthy look to it.

Very nice! I need a Sub in my life, I also need that steering wheel on my Cayman when it arrives.

Right, here goes, I'll wait for the slating to begin, not quite my choice, but I was offered this at a good price.
It's more of an investment than anything else, number 4 of 5, the history is quite interesting confirmed by Breitling.

Amazing, would love to know the story behind it.
Yes come on. Can't post a watch like that and not give us the story behind it laugh

That's nice, which model is that?

It's not overly G-Shocky.

Can't really go into the details on mine, as it's quite personal to someone, but apparently one of them released in the states was fought over by 2 Hollywood A listers, the winner being quite a famous aviator, the looser married a barrister not so long back, and was non too happy about not getting it.

That implies George Clooney was the loser. John Travolta probably the winner. I certainly don’t think Clooney would wear such a thing and I am not at all sure about Travolta.

Would either buy it for investment purposes? Maaaaaaybe but I doubt it.

No, that looks like something a boxer or other big money sportsman devoid of taste would buy.

It’s the 5600BB (basic black maybe?).

I know what you mean. It feels somewhere between a G-Shock and an F-91 which is fine by me!

Just had the call form my AD that my Black on Black Daytona has arrived! Only been waiting 6 months smile

Wanted a Batman really ... what's the legality around keeping the warranty card for 1 year though?

I'd be surprised if it was Clooney as he is an Omega brand ambassador and usually sports Seamasters, Speedmasters and DeVilles - the common theme being they're all very tasteful.

Travolta on the other hand is a Breitling ambassador so hardly surprising.

Some details about it here:

I'd suggest they know that they can get away with because if you don't buy it someone else will.
Legality is questionable.

Got this Oris bc3 last week, and wearing it a lot. It’s a very comfy watch and timekeeping is spot on. I may add a rubber strap so I can wear it in other environments.

AD kept my warranty card. Can't say I'm overly impressed, spending that kind of cash and not getting the full package.

However I can understand the reason behind it and I have no intention of flipping so not worth worrying about really.

Holding back warranty cards is an increasing tactic. What's to stop you flipping it, and sending the warranty card on as son as you receive it?

The person buying the watch from you is not getting a lesser package than the one you got from the AD (and they will understand why the warranty card isn't available straight away), and they will know that you'll have no reason to hold onto the warranty card once you've sold the watch on.

Plus, the AD won't even know you've flipped it, so you can masquerade as a decent customer, and work you way to the top of the list for new releases, secretly flip those, and eventually trade up to a Breitling Emergengy covered in Swarovski.
