I appreciate I'm on route to the 'council thread' but I like a cleaner more simple watch, Single dial or chrono but unfortunately the above reminds me of the below

Yes the dial on mine does look a bit busy, but it’s serves a purpose for the true beat seconds, have a look on YouTube of it working if you haven’t seen it already, I find it great to see some of the movement in action but of course tastes differ Anyway as you say "Bravo for being different!"
Recently picked up this Tag Formula 1 - I’m not a fan of anything too chunky, so went for the midsize (it seems to be a similar size to a 2000 series that I used to have). I wasn’t sure if the blue would be a bit too much, but having had it on my wrist for a few days, I really like it as it’s a bit different / retro :-)

Don't fret, I didn't throw the bracelet away! I love changing straps on different watches but they can easily go back to original! T6 vanman said:

How very dare you!Wash your hands thoroughly, with carbolic soap, after writing that...
"Barman...! Make it a triple this time. I need to forget something urgently!!"

Thanks.. in the 2 years I’ve owned it not a single person has known what it was or heard of arnold&son
Arnold & Son make some stonkingly good watches, but size is a bit of an issue. The first deadbeat I came across was Grönefeld's, which I thought daft, at the time.
Of course, the more you read the more you learn, and understand that it actually served a real purpose, way back in the day.
I believe A&S were the first to revive the complication all these centuries later.
Not a 2018 purchase but I have Just pulled this out of the draw, not been worn for a long time but probably deserves to be.
It was a present to myself in Autumn 1989 - bought as a dress watch in Gibraltar when I was there with the Dartmouth Training Squadron. I thought it was a very special thing at the time!
Slightly tighter than it used to be!!!
