The Hanowa SM dive watch is getting an outing today.
It’s only a quartz but has a sandwich dial, sapphire glass, a screw-down crown and 200m water resistance. The bezel could be a bit sturdier.

Not bad for €30 lightly-used (they’re €189 new)

Is it just me, or is the chapter ring not aligned with the dial and the bezel? Does it move independently?

Back to old faithful today.
This watch by far gets the most wrist time. There's just something lovely about how it wears and how it looks.

^ Nice Benthos!
Thanks man, it’s one of my all time favourite watches.

It has had an interesting life that’s for sure.
It is nice! I know nothing about them but love a good '70s (?) watch. Any more info on the "interesting life" story?

Yep, looks like the chapter ring is very slightly off, about half an hour clockwise! Maybe that's why it was €30 rofl

It's very nice and I have nothing against people named Christopher. I just don't like seeing it on the watch face."CW" would be much better. Makes it look like a retirement watch to someone called Christopher Ward. Completely ruins it in my opinion. "C.Ward" would be even worse. People would think you bought it in a hospital shop.

Seeing how my Datejust goes with my new tats.

If they look like they were done by a 6 year old that's because they were - but at least they'll wash off!

"Tats", shirt and hydration need attention. Watch - cool.

Liar.

That’s a dad shirt and a doctors watch. I’m betting your tats are done by your kids on half term from a nice private school.

Not to worry, tats and shirt will be gone by the morning, hydration treated with 750ml Malbec.

Mostly right but it's a church school.

smile Same watch though. First picture was a bit blurry, the second one is only a little bit blurry.

They do tend to grow on you smile For me, the look, the size and the fit are all spot on!

Have to agree. Interesting to see 2 of the Moana Pacific's have date windows and one doesn't. My Moana Pacific Kara hasn't a date either.

I love all the little details.
The crown showing red when not screwed home is a great touch.

Even the clasp has nice details (note non-original strap changed as I prefer leather and it came with silicone)

Whilst on a Magrette theme wearing this today.

Although marketed as Bronze the case was later found to be trumpet brass (mistake from the supplier). Magrette offered to replace all with the correct bronze case but as far as I know hardly anyone did.
