Was rocking this the other day, I was at a Seiko event meeting Novak Djokovic. Had to wear Seiko's best.

I imagine it served its purpose.

I must admit to being bored rigid by Rolex design (have owned 3 (together) so have experience) but this is nice clap
Well it's nothing out of the ordinary. Just a boring Sub date. It's got a cyclops too. Everyone seems to hate that. In fact it's a horrible watch. I keep my sleeve over it most of the time in case I get ridiculed.

It makes me smile this watch.... it is insane - and yet looks so simple. A fabulous thing to own. Very rare... hand applied hour markers!! What sort of life would you have to lead to be able to do that by hand?

An amazing watch. Love it. smile

While not really a Rolex fan, that does look rather good and your photos are excellent (although the bezel is triggering my CDO!).

Of course, my opinion’s irrelevant, so I hope you enjoy having it back. Were I to buy a Rolex, it’d have to be a birth year 1680 (the number is also particularly and peculiarly relevant to me). I’m unlikely to be able to ever afford one, short of a lottery win!

Yours is what I’d class as a “proper” Rolex, although I could be persuaded to try a GMT Master with a Pepsi bezel (but not one of those ceramic ones, they are just too blingy for my taste). I’m seriously tempted by the Tudor equivalent, should I be able to find one in a dealer...

Thank you for the kind words. I fear he did not notice it, I generally find my prosthetics to be too distracting on a first meeting for anyone to notice anything else about me! Least of all a watch, even at a Seiko event.

The watch still makes me incredibly happy every time I wear it, which is very very often. It even has a very very small hairline scratch in the casing, which I am not bothered about even slightly. I enjoy wearing it, and I am sure there will be many more scratches in the years ahead.

A rare outing for the Longines Avigation A7 today.
I do like this watch a lot but tend to wear it only on special occasions.
That’s gorgeous. My Legend diver has had two consecutive weeks on the wrist. Such a comfortable watch to wear.

This is also very comfortable, especially given its not inconsiderable bulk!

Its 49mm across and 14mm thick so definitely not one to be shy and retiring. That said it wears smaller than it looks due to the steep curve downwards of the lugs. The stainless case back is rounded and smooth (and like a pocket watch) has a button to release it to display the movement under its sapphire glass display back. A great nod to the original wartime pocket watches adapted to wear on the wrist with a nice twist in the rotated dial to put 12 at the top when hand are on a steering wheel/joystick.

I hadn’t planned in buying a watch until my 40th which is 5 years away but I couldn’t help myself with this one!

My dear missus bought me this very recently for a ‘significant’ birthday. Never been a big Rolex fan but I absolutely adore this.

If I didn't have the GMT this would be what I would want! resembles the 60's Submariner than I desire.

Mine would be on bracelet mind you.

Got my Tudor GMT on today.
