Inspired by the recent thread I’ve put the Black Bay on the original NATO supplied with it for the first time. Nice but it’s a bit short for my wrists.
Greg,
How do you find it on the nato on the whole? How does the exposed case look where the end links would otherwise be?

I have the Heritage BB Chrono and put it on the canvas for the first time the other day too (just before the other thread actually) and I was disappointed. It felt a little too delicate in proportion to watch and - as my question suggests - the case left exposed looked like it just shouldn't be. If you know what I mean.

It's a shame, head on in the photos I think it looks great (denim kind of one for mine).

I do like the feel of it on a NATO.. It wears much lighter and, whilst you are right about the case on the sides looking a little "open", from most angles you don't really see this. The supplied NATO (not strictly a NATO at all with it's built in spring bars) is very short but the thickness and overall quality is lovely. I've got a few other decent NATO straps from Watchgecko (Spectre and Old School Bond ones, plus a grey one and a Marine Nationale Style green and red) and a nice horween style leather one. They all suit the BB really well IMHO. The bracelet is a lovely thing too but I do find myself scuffing it up a lot for regular day to day wear.

Is that a Silver / Black / Blue sub dial combo or just a trick of the light on the Blue / Black ?? Looks great if its a 3 colour combo ... I don't yet have a Zenith, next on the list I think ....

Yes, three colours - in fact this one was the original '69-71 model (and one of the first automatic chronographs) that first used this dial colour combo for Zenith -

REALLY like that, don't see may around, I like the way it looks but also the moon / TinTin / moon connection!

I like the regular one on old looking leather NATOs but never seen one of these on one!

Thanks I’m really really happy with it! And I also love the Tin Tin/Moon connection. I’m messing with strap options at the moment, as I’m not going to use the bracelet.

I was thinking of your watch on a strap like this (can't remember where I found it)

Love the colour of that leather, it works well with the aged lume.

Been wearing the Monta all day Thursday and into this morning, might take a fresh 'photo when the sun's up.

This landed today so it’s on the wrist now and for the few days I would think

Arguably the back is better looking

The 156 today, seeing how Herr Sinn passed away yesterday.
