The under £200 watch thread!

Damn this thread... Now I'm looking at the steel dive website and wondering how little time there will be between payday and owning a blue tuna!
Also, I may have a free smartwatch turning up from mykronoz, posted about them in the smartwatch thread a couple of months ago but my order got cancelled as out of stock. UPS are delivering a parcel from them on monday despite not reordering and no money exchanging hands!?

Do it. They are excellent homages for the price. Some slight inconsistencies with the tunas but they are well made. Also, I may have a free smartwatch turning up from mykronoz, posted about them in the smartwatch thread a couple of months ago but my order got cancelled as out of stock. That Christopher Ward C61 I mentioned a few days ago has arrived, and is absolutely flawless (bar the strap being a bit short; the seller is going to look for the spare links, fingers crossed)
A lovely thing that compares very favorably with the Seamaster Professional that I used to own.
Apologies for the utterly gash photo, I’m rehearsing in the theatre and the light is terrible:

Strap snap...crappy photo, the dome distortion blurred out some of the numbers
I was watching One more watch today and decided to get out my 47yo Timex Mercury. It’s very wee. I do wonder if I put on the right sized bund strap it wouldn’t look too small, the face is the same size as my citizen diver.

Honestly, it just depends what you’re used too. I was watching One more watch today and decided to get out my 47yo Timex Mercury. It’s very wee. I do wonder if I put on the right sized bund strap it wouldn’t look too small, the face is the same size as my citizen diver.
Go from a ‘modern’ 44mm diver to a 34mm manual wind and the DW will feel tiny, puny and insignificant.
Wear it for a couple of weeks, return to the dive watch and it’ll feel like you’re wearing a can of baked beans on your wrist.
The answer (of course) is a mid-sized dive watch, much like the Ward C61 I have just acquired, which is pretty perfect.
Nice Timex by the way, and that review on JOMW was excellent I thought!

Commented in Wrist Check thread but thought I’d reply here too... I like both those watches and I’m quite a fan of the table, too!
Where did you get the Seiko?
Thanks! We've had that table for about 35 years. The Seiko was from evil bay Where did you get the Seiko?
Yeah, was intended for this thread, but my phone was open on the other one and got it mixed hah

Victorinox INOX back at TK Maxx under budget, stainless case and bracelet green face...don’t believe the thickness dimension though, it definitely isn’t 6mm!

If that wasn't a green dial, i'd be dangerously tempted. Victorinox INOX back at TK Maxx under budget, stainless case and bracelet green face...don’t believe the thickness dimension though, it definitely isn’t 6mm!

Yep. Well worth a look, for anyone thinking about that style of watch. They’re tough as old boots. Victorinox INOX back at TK Maxx under budget, stainless case and bracelet green face...don’t believe the thickness dimension though, it definitely isn’t 6mm!
They get tested by being run over by a tank, dropped into Chernobyl Reactor 4, etc etc.
‘Only’ a quartz but at that price who cares? Bargain.
