Yes Boberoo, thanks to you lot I have been assimilated into this thread. Don't they say when the fun stops, stop? Anyway this arrived yesterday. I was at work late so have been rumbled. £30 off the 'Bay, new with box etc. Nice in the flesh, the blue dial and brown strap work well. Different to the usual blacks and greys I have. .

Yeah they do say that when the fun stops, stop, but they also say resistance if futile!!!

Out of interest, has anyone on here EVER actually used the bezel on their sub £200 dive watch for more than just turning it around occasionally and enjoying (or not) the clicks?
I use the dive bezel every day, normally for cooking or rough timing my singing practice and/or operatic sections, excepts, that kind of thing. Edited by TorqueDirty on Thursday 4th March 18:18
As we hurtle towards bbq season here the bezel will resume its normal duties of timing bigger joints of meat on the Weber.
Most of our family summers seem to revolve around the water so a dive watch on a NATO is the way to go. In fact the strap saved my Vostok a couple of years ago when my lad clouted my wrist and a spring bar popped off.
TL:DR, dive watches are awesome

Hi guys newbie here all bar one of my watches qualifies for this most excellent thread, two new additions this week casio world time and depth charge diver £32 and £134 respectively
That Depth Charge Diver looks pretty well specified for £134. The NH35 movement is absolutely fantastic for the money and if at some point it fails you can just drop another one in. Essentially you’ve bought a watch for life. And that Casio is one of the coolest watches anywhere at any price. You’ve done well.
Time to start browsing dress watches and chronographs, I feel. We’re here to help.
In a way this thread is quite a good analogy to the cars. I have a 1 of 25 Breitling, never wear it and battery flat.
But my searches, purchases and daily watches are of £50 or less. And what fun it is and you can find some really good looking pieces. If you buy a dud, well shrug and move on.
In the same was you can have as much fun in a £5k snotter without worry than a vehicle 20 times that. Guess that is age catching us up..........

Come on chum, you know that isn't how it works. Watch stops - flat battery, haven't wound it, whatever - equals perfect excuse to buy another. I expected better from a chap with your pedigree. Now go and sit in a corner and think about what you've said and how best to make amends.
I came across this the other day when looking at Speedmaster Pandas. It looks very nice for the price.

I’ve let myself down again, haven’t I. I expected better from a chap with your pedigree. Now go and sit in a corner and think about what you've said and how best to make amends.
Apologies.
Anyway, that Skagen looks really tidy. They do some very likeable designs. Are they a high street brand? Can’t say I’ve ever really seen one.

I have been sorely tempted by several Dan Henry watches over the last couple of years but have resisted.https://danhenrywatches.com/products/1962-racing-c...
That one looks great.
I blame you entirely for what may well happen next!

I have a few of mine going up this weekend, the yin to my purchasing yang...
Due to an apparent weight loss/fitness kick at home I needed another watch...so off to my favourite pawn site and a Suunto Ambit 3 Peak is on its way, I nearly got a G-shock with a step tracker but the Suunto has more (unnecessary) tech and a decent battery life, and the g is supposed to have some problems with accuracy. It’s something to wear at work and for less than £40 worth a punt, my Casio f20 is too nice for work. It will be interesting to see how they compare.

Pics of mine when it arrives...

Looks nice, but I'm happy with my Pagani Design one for a quarter of the price! Same movement, sapphire crystal too.https://danhenrywatches.com/products/1962-racing-c...

Looking for some opinions, or a steer in the right direction. I'm fairly happy with where my little collection is, but I am missing a nice dress chronograph. I'm looking at this kind of thing:
https://www.firstclasswatches.co.uk/rotary-mens-mo...
https://www.fhinds.co.uk/watches/mens-watches/Rota...
https://www.lilienthal.berlin/uk/chronograph-dark-...
But nothing has jumped out at me yet to make my buy. I'm looking to spend top thread budget, rather than something £50 or so. I don't even know if I want gold or rose gold - but definitely a brown leather strap.
Any pointers?
