I was looking for a proper period converted pocket watch a while back, but couldn't find one I liked that wasn't either too big, too small, shabby or expensive. So when I spotted the Timex I thought I may as well just go for it.

Looks like they have made a decent effort to capture the look of the original.

Been keen to try a brown rally strap on my rotary Chronograph... Think it suits it well.

thumbup That's nice. I like a small, subtle amount of contrasting gold on a silver watch. The strap suits it.
Oris do the gold/silver contrast well, especially on their Big Crown models. Although lucky to get one for sub £200 if ever.

My resolve held fast over the bank holiday and I didn't order the Geckota.
It crumbled last night though, one from Japan and one from Hong Kong both admissable on this thread.
Updates on arrival.

Tevise quartz with an Isofrane style strap, total was about £17. The strap is really nice, I think I’ll be getting a few more. This is the third Tevice and the second quartz the other being a green bezel & face. It keeps good time, the second hand hits it’s marks but for some reason the minute hand was 180 degrees out but i’ve sorted that.

I like that style of strap. Looking to change out the strap on my paulareis planet ocean look-like... Don't like the one it came with. Was thing nato, but this looks good. Where did you pick it up if you do t mind me asking?

Loving the Slava Black and gold. Gave it a right good clean with soap, water and a toothbrush... Came up gleaming!
Nice surprise of the red Sunday day text. Really pops on the dial... Including strap, less than £20! Wears kinda small in comparison to modern watches, but I'm really enjoying it so far!

Current collection... Its always evolving. Leather on top and steel on the bottom

There's a few keepers in there, and a couple of grail watches I have my eye on that I want to add. A spinnaker brandner with beads of rice strap and a breitling rose gold superocean heritage ii and I'm done!

I've just bought one of these and it looks great. Stupid question how do you wind it up?

Seller was Watchery2016 on eBay.

I have bought three from him, a friend one, all have arrived safely and promptly from PRC.

They are packed in styrofoam boxes. Don’t expect fancy packaging!

All three are well chunky.

Parnis isn’t just one factory - it’s an umbrella name given to many products from various places. Quality can vary.

All mine keep excellent time. Photos below, apologies to this who have seen them before.

I have no complaints about the quality of the finishing. The deployant strap on the 300m diver was not to my taste and was swapped out for a NATO, and now a nicer leather strap.

Some other photos of the Panerai homage are included FYI.

I haven’t taken any of them in water and don’t plan to.

Hope this helps. Any questions just ask.

Pretty happy with my Chinese copy of a late 70's Japanese dive watch... £125 on eBay, commonly available from source for under £150.

6105 'homage' (copy). Runs a Seiko NH35 and is keeping good time. Would rather a domed crystal, as I find they pick up fewer smears than flat, for whatever reason. Otherwise - love it, and my Monsters are taking some time off.

Unscrew crown.

Turn crown clockwise.

The rotor will wind the watch whilst wearing.

Nice. How long did they take and did you get stung by customs?
