I sold this one as I really hated the bracelet and there wasn't enough room to fit a nato
Pic of mine. I think it's a nice looking watch, but not the most comfortable to wear. Possibly because it must be the heaviest watch I own!

Looking good! Fun tinkering. I'm looking for strap inspiration on mine. Only removed the World Time and illuminator decals so far. Bought these in the Jan sales for less money combined than my recent Gecko leather strap for my Omega!

I've got a 24mm green leather strap coming for mine...i like the brown, but this was bought for another watch, just put it on the Casio while I was waiting for the green strap to come.

Yep, same watch (in dark blue) and the most comfortable that I have.

It cost €120, hardly worn, box and papers.

Nice homage to the 50 fathoms.

I’ve got an SNZ, quite like it but if I could change it I’d remove the 5 logo from the dial.

I've had this one for about 10 years now. It's within thread budget

BMW M watch from the time of the E9x M3 model generation. Quartz, with a Ronda movement allowing timing to 1/10 second in the dial at 2 o'clock. And a carbonfibre dial!

BMW Part No 80 26 2 147 048.

I think it's 42mm with 21mm lug width. It's quite a chunky and bulky thing, but still fairly wearable on a smaller wrist (like mine).

It originally came on a black leather strap but I put it on this NATO last year after wearing out the original strap. I think the NATO suits it nicely!

The BMW watch above reminds me of some of the Swatch Irony models, I bet it has the same movement.

I seen a few people refer to it as a Fifty Fathoms homage, but I would never have thought that myself. Apart from the bezel having a crystal over the insert I don't really see the resemblance. I've seen some that have been modified with a Fifty Fathoms dial.

Place a bid, thought I wont get it for that price. Turns out I did laugh this will be forming part of a custom piece i'm building.

Guys I recently got the Parnis Panerai homage, but I'm not able to set the date. On the crown, there is only one click. At 0 clicks it at hand winding, at 1 click it's settting time. There is not another click to set the date, I don't know if there is another way to do it or it's faulty. Any ideas?

Is it reverse of winding?

Nope, that doesn't do anything.

But solved it, it has a push in date set thing. Never seen one of these before.

I think they were mentioned earlier in this thread with the orange Orient.

My Zeppelin has the same movement. Isn't it called a Ronda movement?

Just had a read through this thread for the first time.

Fantastic stuff. Some really great watches for the money.

A guy paid me for something recently via PayPal, and as a consequence, I have precisely £209 burning a hole through my PayPal account and out the other side.

With absolutely nothing better to waste it on, I fancy adding a reasonably priced timepiece to my watch drawer, and I need your help.

I’ve recently fancied a chunky skeleton watch, and like the style of the Big Bang skeleton models.

The nearest thing I can find (that fits the PayPal account budget) is this:

https://forgeandfoster.com/collections/our-watch-c...

£190 and they offer -10% seemingly to everyone,
So it’s really £171.

I’m aware that this ‘Forge & Foster’ brand is just some made up thing, probably along the lines of many a Kickstarter fashion watch, but it kind of looks ok.

My question is: is there anything similar for the money I can consider?

Thanks!

I was about to express surprise that you'd found a Big Bang for less than 200 quid, but I now see it's the look you're after not the actual watch!

I know nothing about Forge&Foster, in fact I'll go as far as to say I'd never heard of them until you rocked up, but it looks good for the money!!
