It gets worse Looking on Amazon
Tauchmeister 500m £69
https://www.amazon.co.uk/German-Diver-Watch-Tauchm...
£99 for one with a Miyota auto
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tauchmeister-Automatic-se...
Or this big one with Ronda 515 gmt movement which seems quite a clever thing with power saving.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Diver-Germany-Sapphire-St...
Or this...

I didn't see these before. Sapphire and Swiss quartz would make them even better.Tauchmeister 500m £69

The yellow dial is tempting but I'd have to tone it down with a black strap.kuro said:

Are these discontinued now? Can't seem to find them in the Uk.Edited by CharlesdeGaulle on Friday 28th February 17:28
This arrived a little while ago from Ali express, I have to say I'm quite impressed with the quality of the watch considering it only cost me £58 delivered!
It keeps pretty good time with a power reserve of 40hrs
The colour is great and it sits really nice on the wrist.
Negatives would be the lume, it's near non-existent and the cyclops isn't quite focused right to name a few, but I can't complain for the money!
I'm happy with it.

In recent weeks I have been spending WAAAYYYY too long looking at affordable automatic watches because I'm feeling the need to try something new.
I have been round the houses hundreds of times, looking at everything from quite expensive (well over thread budget) dress watches, to Seiko SKX copies that I could modify. Truth be told I was researching myself in to a state of complete indecision.
And then today I realised two things. First that I needed to just buy something to avoid spending the rest of my life looking at watches online, and second that actually I already have enough automatics (for now!) and what I should really get is an interesting quartz watch that is ready to go anywhere anytime, that is tough, smart but also a bit unusual.
So today I ordered this - at admittedly £20 over budget. It feels like a weight has been lifted!

I have read lots of good things about these watches and I'm a sucker for anything that is really well made and a bit left field.
Not sure if I will gel with it but I'm quite excited to find out.
Of course it will probably never go deeper than snorkelling depth but hey, who cares. In fact if it ever does go to 500m it will either be because I have sold it on or because I have fallen (or been pushed) off some transatlantic cruise liner.
I'll report back once it arrives - and once I have completed whatever penance I will be handed for buying another watch!
