Online reviews of the Tissot are a mixed bag, let's hope [cue Daft Punk] I 'get lucky'.

The movement is non-servicable, if it breaks then it becomes an ineffective paperweight...
Really? Excuse my lack of knowledge, but i thought this was just a quartz movement? I didn't realise it couldn't be serviced!

A lot of the lower end quartz watches are non service items, once they break it's more economical to just bin them and buy a new one, when the indiglo stopped working on my original Timex Expedition I sent it to them asking them to fix it, they responded by returning it saying they didn't repair them due to the cost and offered me the Expedition Black Edition which I have for cost(yeah right) price, £47 delivered, so I accepted, now the indiglo has stopped working on the too!!!!!

Apparently many high end mechanical movements are also just swapped rather than serviced, its no bad thing imo

Ah right i didnt know that! Thanks!

Ernest jones have the PRC200 in the sale and then there is 10% off on top of that if you sign up to their newsletter, so that takes the price with the leather strap down to just a smidge over £200! £202 actually, so a good price.

actually if you go via voucher codes, you get an e voucher for £15 too!

Yeah, and with the Tissot being £200-£250 new one would hope that the movement would be either reliable or easily swapped out, but this appears not to be the case.

Now I know that reviews often tend to be written by those unhappy with the product, but....well, I have my doubts about the watch. Fingers crossed etc etc!

It's like anything in life, you'll get some good ones and some not so good ones, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Of course, but that's a completely different thing from being "unserviceable".

I hate to be pedantic but nobody has said anything about them being "unservicable" the comment was about them being non-service items as very few quartz watches are repaired now due to cost, they are unfortunately disposable at this price range, automatics on the other hand would be "serviceable" .

That Seiko is seriously good value at that price and a stunning colour combination too!!!
And your Tissel is very striking, I really like that face!!!!

Stunning watch, amazing value. Did you see the custom leather strap that the Polish company did for it?

I've had it a little over 4 years I think, it's just what it cost then.

Never realised they detailed a bit higher now. It's a nice watch, I like it a lot and the haveston NATO I have on it is excellent.

Here’s the one watch I own, Bering titanium and despite 2 years of every day wear it’s practically as good as new. Slim profile so it’s slips up a sleeve nicely and isn’t the size of a wall clock

Think it was about 150 quid.
