Really cutting below the <£200 target, by about £186
I just needed a dirt cheap beater to wear while washing the car or working in the garage etc that I wouldn’t mind breaking or losing.. And when I throw it on every 1-2 weeks, it’ll always have the correct time and date lol..
That is stunning. What's the model number?I just needed a dirt cheap beater to wear while washing the car or working in the garage etc that I wouldn’t mind breaking or losing.. And when I throw it on every 1-2 weeks, it’ll always have the correct time and date lol..
I received my new 'Tauchmeister' from Germany on my actual birthday - good planning or sheer luck? Luck obviously, my son is not that organised! The watch is great but the mesh, not so much, once again another mesh bracelet I cannot get on with. I put it on a silicone strap I had and ordered a proper rubber divers strap. A whole £4 from eBay!
This finally, really suits it.
Excuse the dog hair/shabby photos, I could make an excuse but, the truth is, I'm lazy

After years of looking at the various models and styles of Orient Bambino, I've finally ordered one. £134 from Amazon including import fees.
Grey dial with rose gold hands and indices. Should look very pretty, but I'll need to change that strap to something less rustic when it arrives.
There is also a stainless steel with champagne dialled "small seconds" version out now which looks phonomenal, but I think I'll wait for it to go down in price when it becomes available through Creation and the like.

Oooofff now i really like that!!! I'd leave the "rustic" strap on personally!!!Grey dial with rose gold hands and indices. Should look very pretty, but I'll need to change that strap to something less rustic when it arrives.

I was planning on wearing it with a shirt and tie, so I might go for a smart dark brown leather strap. I like the look of the suede strap it comes with a lot though, so I'll probably put it on one of my other watches and swap the buckle over.
I like the strap on this one. This is the small seconds version I mentioned, which is definitely on my hit list!

There's one on amazon.co.uk for £195 which includes import duty. Creation Watches have one with a white dial and gold case for £127, but I don't like that version. Creation have a good reputation, but there is a chance you will have to pay duty on top of that.
I'm going to wait a while to see if it becomes available at a better price before I order.

I have a lot of time for Orient as a brand...I have three of their watches in my small collection.. I wear a Mako as a daily work beater and it has stood up to major abuse over the years and still never misses a beat.. i have a Bambino V2 and a fez for more dressier outings.... I think the Fez is a beautiful watch....quite elegant ...nice auto movement...sapphire...and all for less than £150.

That Bambino2 is quite striking with the contrasting blue hands, I like that a lot but know absolutely nothing about the brand or their quality, anything you can tell us would be gratefully received!!!!
I had a yellow Mako which was ok, but the bezel was a bit rattly. I also had a blue Dolphin, and the hour and minute hands hit each other at 4.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
