The under £200 watch thread!
Discussion
I only ever read good things about Orient online. I have an Orient solar chronograph and it's been spot on. I actually forgot it was an Orient, I thought it was a Seiko
I'll get some photos up at some point, but it's truly beautiful in the flesh. The rose gold hands and indices look subtle and classy against the dark grey dial. I have a similar styled watch with a black dial and yellow gold hands and that's a bit garish.
I thought it was a bit big at first at 42mm as I had been wearing watches that were 38 and 36mm over the last few weeks, but I'm acclimatised to it now. It's quite a low profile watch and the lugs curve a little around your wrist, so not too obtrusive despite being 42mm. That would be the only criticism I could make as 40mm would be smarter, which I believe most of the other versions of Bambino are.
I would say the quality is better than the various Seiko 5s I own. It's nice that the movement hacks and you can hand wind it.

I had a yellow Mako which was ok, but the bezel was a bit rattly. I also had a blue Dolphin, and the hour and minute hands hit each other at 4.
Anyway, my new one is here I paid an extra £6 for fast delivery from Amazon and it got here from the USA to my door in two days!I'll get some photos up at some point, but it's truly beautiful in the flesh. I like the strap on this one. This is the small seconds version I mentioned, which is definitely on my hit list!
I like it. On the basis that I would rather trust you lot than google, where should I look for something like that? https://www.orient-watch.com/Collections/ORIENT/Cl...
I think the 02S has a white face, the creamier colour is the 03S?

... waiting impatiently ...Yes it looks like the 03S is the creamier colour. I think that colour is usually called champagne.
I just took a few snaps, but they came out terrible I'll have to wait for some natural daylight. Youtube is your best bet for getting an idea of what they really look like on the wrist.

Anyone ordered from Creation before?
I ordered last Saturday but haven’t even had a dispatch email yet, I choose the Royal Mail option as recommended on here and TZ to avoid the duty and handling fees.

Ordered. Looking forward to getting it - my first Orient. Thanks for the help chaps. And then remembered that I'd posted this in the tempting watches thread:
I saw this in a French shop last week and have hankered ever since. It was priced at 1400 euro.
A better google image:
Any Longines-ninjas out there care to comment or point me towards a cracking deal?
There's quite a similarity, and quite a saving with 200 Euro versus 1400. CharlesdeGaulle said:
