Found a Hungarian vendor on German ebay, then bought via his shop. The only other options I found were either US-based, but with no guarantee, or UK without a box. Prices varied, but not by that much. There are a few out there.
Orientuhrshop I presume? Looks like a reliable seller, and that watch is stunning. Well done.

Thanks. Yes, that's him. Seems switched-on and proactive - he asked me to confirm that my house doesn't have a number! I'll post a pic once I have it.

None taken. There are a lot of watches I don't like either, especially the blingy or complicated ones. It's a broad church. Post something you do like.

Unusual one, ADVAN watch from the 90's. I'm not a watch person by any means, but like unusual things from the 90's Japan car / motorsport era like this.

Seiko made them for ADVAN.

58,000JPY back in the day, now ~£70 by time it was shipped and any taxes were paid, used but as new condition.

Are those as big as they appear in some photos?
Quite like the look of them but I've not seen one in person.

Very nice watches but as you say over budget, a work mate has one and it's about the same size as my Citizen divers watch.

That Advan is a nice unusual thing!!

Ditto here. There's quite a few design elements that would stop me buying the Victorinox, but that's fine, we all have different tastes beer

Victorinox, along with Grovana (Swiss Alpine Military), Hawona (Swiss Military) and Chrono are fantastic value second hand/NOS on eBay.de.

Victorinox and Hawona offer a very tasty selection of Swiss-made (ETA?) automatic watches that pop up regularly.

I have some experience of the Hanowa quartz watches - one on my wrist right now, in fact - and they are lovely things. Mine was RRP €249, I got it for €65, brand new, boxed, with tags etc.

I really recommend Hanowas. I'm keeping an eye on various Vic watches and would like a Grovana SAM too.

No worries. Their I.N.O.X. range with the funky wooden straps and the ETA movements are really lovely looking things:

I've just ordered one as it's a bit of a no brainer for that money. My brother in law has a few, they're nice enough but I'd never pay nearly £200 for one, 40 quids a steal though.

I agree. It is a great price and crazy to miss if you fancy a TW
