If anyone is feeling retro take a look.
Only 30 mins to go and I'm out so go for it if you fancy it!

Thread-busting alert, but we have previously discussed this. I am jolly tempted but would be interested in any owner experiences if there are any (Barchettaman?)
My only concern is actually that it has a date, and I'm wondering whether a date on an automatic, that inevitably isn't worn every day and therefore stops, becomes too much of a PIA.
CdG, I have date windows on all my automatics.
The only one that is a PITA to change (and even then it´s not too bad) is the older Vostok Amphibian.
Otherwise it takes but a few seconds.
That´s another reason not to buy the Mido out of the (date) window, then!
On the subject of personal experience, no, I haven´t owned it but would very much like to have a look at it. Juwelier Christ in Frankfurt stock them. I fear, however, that ´going to have a look it it´ would be swiftly followed by ´here´s my credit card´, which would not be sensible.
Apologies once again for continuing the thread drift away from sub-200 watches.

Those Steeldive watches look cracking value, never looked at them before.
I'd seen many on here posting about them and had been looking at them for a while, decided to "pull the trigger" on one when I showed Mrs Bobbers the blue faced Captain Willard and she immediately said "that's really nice", I took it in to work today and a lot of people were very impressed with it!!CharlesdeGaulle said:

As for date adjustment on automatics, all mine also have date windows and it's really easy to adjust them!!

I've only got one blue-faced watch too (I would go for blue rather than the black above), so there are even fewer excuses not to 'PTT'!
That bloody opera singer has a lot to answer for!

And today we have a random purchase from Amazon (that 30 day business account is doing me no favours) that arrived at the same time as another winder/box that I seem to need now
It was within thread budget quite comfortably
Is that actually pronounced "Fakes" ? It was within thread budget quite comfortably

Yep, it does look very nice on the blue canvas strap. That bloody opera singer has a lot to answer for!
I think I should change my forum ‘name’ to ‘thatbloodyoperasinger’

I could do with a twin watch winder on the spirit of the thread. Any suggestions?
It's funny but I asked on here when I started getting automatics about winders and most people said just let them wind down and then restart when you want to wear them!!Macneil said:
Absolutely, I own a Nomos Tangente, I think you're going to be more satisfied with your purchase than I have been with mine
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect in terms of build quality and timekeeping but I've been pleasantly surprised and at less than a tenth of the price of a Nomos I'm over the moon. All in all it's a nice cheap Bauhaus style watch that fills a spot that I probably couldn't have justified filling with a Nomos. They do a Sports style watch with more complications which is a lot of watch for not a lot of money, only downside is they're Chinese Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
