Parnis? Are they good re quality?

Mine was alright. Gmt. Decent lume too:

I sold it on as it was just too big for my tastes. No reflection on the watch, it was decent enough for €80.

Yeah, this thread is an addiction.

My problem is that I keep seeing things I want, and the budget has now blown past the thread budget. All my current watches were bought for within, but now am waiting on the Zelos Hammerhead V3 meteorite to show up, and have HUGE want for the Straton Speciale, in auto form in that brown/cream combination.

Have so far not bought that!

I may move my Resolute and AVI-8 watches on though, along with an Oceaneva Waveracer (Gulf colours) I have never worn. Seemed like a good idea at the time but changed my mind when it showed up.

That would leave me with the Casio Duro, Spinnaker Hunley, Pagani Daytona, Reef Tiger and TW Steel Lotus F1 watch, apart from the Zelos I do not have in my hands yet.

I only had 2 (3 if you count my Pebble) before 2021!

I'm looking more for the Luminor look

I haven't seen Panzera's that look remotely like it.
Disappointing, as there are plenty of Sub clones of good quality well within thread budget.
Edit: Just realised you were talking about the Luminor and dial.

There is a San Martin that looks similar but its unavailable to buy new anymore.

This isn't far off either.

Swapped the bracelet/strap between the Duro and Ef-527, it seems to have worked ok. The end links are from another as the case profile is different at the lugs.

I forgot to mention:

1) the Parnis Marina Militare ones are a bit naughty as the crown lever device and MM are both copyright protected by Panerai

2) if you want the look but not a strict homage/replica, check out the Vostok Amphibia 170548.

3) if you decide to got for the real thing then tread very carefully indeed if buying used as there are (apparently) loads of superfakes out there.

£120…

Absolute bargain, was listed as “Orange seiko divers watch” But I knew it was a gen 2 monster with the 4R36. It was on bids at about £80. I snook in with a last 15 second bid of £173 and ended up getting it for £120!

It’s just arrived and after a clean up and fitting of a Super Engineer II bracelet I had from a previous monster, I think it’s great.

Plan is to swap the bezel and crown for stainless steel items and keep it!

Ordered one of these from watchco.com for £137 delivered, they all seem to be at least double that in Europe. It's coming from the US so will see if I get taxed on arrival but it will still be a bargain even if I do.

Link here, there is an extra 20% discount code WATCHCO20

Looking forward to it, completely different to most of my other watches, the price means I can punt it on no worries if I don't much like it but I think it should be nice.

I've received my black Duro and put it on a mesh strap I had but I think it's made it a bit too dressy for my liking.

I'll try it on a few other straps tonight.

Works pretty well with the sunburst dial, I think.

Id like to find a nice well fitted bracelet for it as the more I look at the mesh the more I don't like it.

Anyone fancy a cheap geckota mesh strap?

AliExpress do one, search for Casio 106….then try and ignore the sapphire crystals…

One of my suppliers in the AV industry turns out to be watch mad.

Now our conversations are split about 40/60 between AV and Watches!

So far he has recommended a Duro (tuna branded) and getting on the Helm waiting list.

So now on the look out for a blue faced Duro!
