The under £200 watch thread!
Discussion
Just as a quick footnote to the rambling post above, just looked at the case back and it’s only 100m WR!
Glad I checked before wearing it while washing my hands (or other damp activities that seem to require 500m depth rating according to the experts…). Not sure why it’s lower than the other Komandirski and it looks the same as the Amphibian. I’ll chance it though…

I'm not that keen on the NATOs in general; they obstruct a glass case back and tend to look straggly after a while.
I've said it before here, but I have never seen any watch on a mesh strap and thought it looked good. I know there are fans here but I can't feel the love.
I'm pretty similar to you but for slightly different reasons, lolI've said it before here, but I have never seen any watch on a mesh strap and thought it looked good. I know there are fans here but I can't feel the love.
I find NATOs rub across the top of my wrist when behind the watch, so they are more annoying than comfortable for me, but they can look good
I do like a mesh strap as well but I find the termination point at the case end of it is often... abrupt? clumsy? unattractive? so I don't often see one I love. I think something like the chunky mesh on the Omega PloProf is my ideal - the case covers the meeting point, meaning there is no gap between where the strap ends and the case starts!

And now I feel the need again to buy one of the PloProf homages... lol

I've never really got the love for a NATO strap, never worn one, it just doesn't appeal to me!
Those PolProf's are strange looking things aren't they? Not sure I like the lump protecting the crown, but I get what you mean about the termination of the mesh strap, mi milanese on my Bulova Stars and Stripes is well done, as is the shark mesh on my Spinnaker, I'll post a couple of pics shortly.

The PloProfs look weird and like they'd wear huge, but they really don't and are very comfortable! Those PolProf's are strange looking things aren't they? They need to be tight on the wrist because otherwise they'd constantly be feeling like they're falling off due to the weight, lol, but my chinese knock-off is very comfortable when snug

2nd working day after ordering my new to me Vostok Komandirskie 350751 arrived (with the all important box and paper -for investment purposes… ) I really like it, it’s in cracking condition especially for a touch over £40 delivered.
It feels very different from the scuba dude.
I'm waiting on a Vostok Amphibian to arrive the Scuba dude exactly like yours. It's on it's way from Russia so got a week or two to wait. It feels very different from the scuba dude.
Already got a couple of new straps for it!

I'm the same about NATO's, I just find all the loops and excess strap being folded over all a bit fussy. I like the fabric of them and just wish they made more of them as 2 piece straps. Those PolProf's are strange looking things aren't they? They wouldn't be NATOs then, though, the design originates from a requirement for a strap to fit fixed bars. I don't like them either, I think my wrists are too small for them, but lots of people do and good luck to them.

G steel for me today.
As I have small wrists I always find there is too much strap left over on NATO's so whilst I like the idea I'm not keen on the overall.
