Date changes either sticking or jumping; or both... can be hanging half-advanced or over advancing by a couple of days (or one and a half etc). Apparently put down to being over-lubed but some are reporting components being changed when returned for remedy.
I have seen one incidence of a sticky change when I ran it but tapped the case and it clicked over.

I was initially told that a part was being replaced. However, when I went to pick it up, I was told the over lubrication story.

Either way, it's been perfect since it was repaired.

Finally picked it up! Originally expected June. Love it, the case is a lot more "chunky looking" than my Seamaster 300m. It does feel an absolute quality watch.

Lume vs Seamaster (GMT is on my wrist where as Seamaster isn't so its a little further away)

That is going to conclude my watch buying for a few years now (he says until Tudor release a coke or batman next year)

Had to say no to one last week due to change in circumstances, gutted.
Hopefully I can get my hands on one in the New Year.

Out of interest mate was that through an AD or private sale? I'm trying to scope where might have one available in the coming weeks...

There is a waiting list for new. I was told 18 months back in May! A few around for an inflated price though. Bare in mind the existing problem if you buy pre owned.

Yeah I was going to do some ringing around today, I can currently get a decent discount through Ernest Jones via my workplace scheme, I spoke to them last night and got a list of which branches actually stock Tudor (none in the Midlands) and which might have the GMT (none outside of London / South East)... Need to do some more digging, I'm not necessarily desperate enough to buy at a premium just yet though..

Re: the existing problem, I assume it can still be sorted under warranty when bought used, as long as it's still within the timeframe?

Well I've phoned around the Ernest Jones stores that stock them just for now, got put onto the waiting list at the Portsmouth store which is currently 15 people, they advised that they're getting 2 watches per month now so 7-8 month wait in that scenario.. The other branches had 40-50 person lists and didn't want to take any more names, understandably..

Does that sound about right based on what others have been told? Is it worth trying with different retailers or less popular / 'on the radar' branches who might have shorter lists?

I might consider picking up a Black Bay diver in the mean time and possibly 'trading up' if and when a GMT becomes available..

Yes this was new and from a AD. Funny enough I just got offered a further one via Bucherer in Covent Garden, this was on a NATO strap. I prefer a steel bracelet so said no. But back on the waiting list, they are expecting more in the new year and hopefully my circumstances have changed by then.

Picking up a BB58 this weekend, my local Goldsmiths said two year wait, but an Indy AD called me this week.

Only curve ball is I miss my Omega Seamaster 2531, so tempted to get one instead.

Plus it's no Rolex and would be my 2nd Tudor

I'd love a BB 58 but have the GMT and a Omega Seamaster so right now the BB 58 doesn't offer me anything over either of them.

The 'want' has reappeared!

Hopefully the new year will bring more availability/a step closer for us on waiting lists!

Mine has had a lot of time on my wrist recently, having spent most of it's life in the safe. It's reaffirmed what a lovely piece it is. It's had more positive comments in the last week than I've had from my GMT BLNR all year.

Figured I should update my little journey..

So Portsmouth took my name down in October, and admittedly I'd largely forgotten about it since Christmas. I was browsing the other BB versions, as well as Speedmasters, in Birmingham a few weeks ago.

Anyway I had a surprise call from Portsmouth on Friday, notifying me that I was now 2nd on their list as they seem to be getting a bit more steady supply of stock. They were contacting 1st place that same day, and said I'll be able to have his watch if he declines (he didn't, understandably!) or otherwise I'll move up a place and will be next in line.

Spoke to them again today just run through the numbers, discuss deposit, collection etc. So today has been mostly spent moving finances around.. Basically I have a discount through my employer (I think I mentioned it earlier in the thread) - it's normally 8.5% but it's currently 20(!!)%, but it ends today! So I had to get confirmation from EJ first, then juggle a whole load of stuff around to secure the full RRP via this discount (it's an incredibly awkward system with various purchase limits, transaction limits, all sorts of stupidity).

So anyway, just waiting to hear back from EJ now as to the lead time on their next stock, I'm guessing 2-4 weeks. Fortunately if the way I've purchased the 'credit' works correctly, I won't have to drive from Birmingham to Portsmouth and back to collect it..

TL;DR? Top of the list at Portsmouth EJ, stock incoming, money sorted, waiting for the call. ETA 2-4 weeks?

These seem to be trading at below list now in unused "second hand" condition via the likes of TZ. No bad thing of course but worth noting for anyone thinking of paying a grey market premium.

Mine is with Tudor at the moment, been four and a half weeks now and expecting it to take another two and a half before its back due it needing a part to sort the date jumping issue.

Starting to drag on a bit...
